Sammy Leung’s Manhood Threatened by Sharon Chan

Sammy Leung’s (森美) first TVB drama, Friendly Fire <法網狙擊>, premiered on December 18 in Hong Kong. Although the drama is put in the year-end graveyard airtime slot, the light-hearted and comedic scenarios in Friendly Fire immediately captured the audience’s attention. Sammy’s hardworking and friendly police officer “Kam Po Tei” also quickly became a fan-favorite character.

Sammy shares most of his scenes with Sharon Chan (陳敏之), who portrays the courageous “Ai Mei San,” his subordinate. The onscreen couple’s frequent bantering and flirting becomes one of the highlights of the drama. As happy as Sammy was to be able to work with Sharon, he always finds his manhood to be at stake when working with her.

Sammy revealed, “There was a scene where Sharon fell into the water and I jumped in to save her. It was very hard kick in the water with boots on – impossible actually – and we almost drowned.  The harder I kicked, the faster I drowned. Thankfully, Sharon immediately called cut and grabbed a lifebelt. If it weren’t for her, we would have drowned.”

Sharon revealed that she and Sammy’s characters, after years of bantering and fighting, will finally end up together in the end. She also exposed that Sammy requested for a kiss scene with Sharon! “It’s funny, because in front of the camera, Sammy is really carefree and funny, but he is actually very quiet and composed in person. He was very shy during the [kiss] scene!”

Friendly Fire averaged 29 points in its premiere episode, peaking at 31 points, with approximately 1.86 million viewers in Hong Kong tuning in. Premiering on the same evening, Linda Chung’s (鍾嘉欣) Missing You <幸福摩天輪> averaged 28 points, peaking at 29 points, holding approximately 1.80 million viewers.

  1. Hmm…is that how one holds a machine gun? Tucking it under the armpit?

    1. Ha ha. I was thinking the same thing too. Really awkward pose.

      1. Well, when you see this scene in the series, I am willing to bet you would not notice at all how Sharon holds the gun. Anyone who has seen the full length ad would know what I mean haaha

    2. i know n she is way too boney….gosh, eat once a while please… haha

  2. I don’t know why but I was expecting Sammy to be annoying like he is on the shows that he hosts. Good thing I was wrong lol. Quite like Michael/Benz/Sammy together

  3. I don’t know how to hold a gun but Sharon’s way seems wrong.

    1. There are many ways you can hold a gun/riffle. Sharon’s way is not incorrect.

It’s like a rabbit can be held in many different ways to one’s preference.

    1. yeh and he is more handsome than andy lau with louis ko in one and i think he will be the next chok-king and nr1 siu san to replace raymond ^-^

  4. Sammy should really film more Tvb series. He’s awesome! And Sharon, don’t die like you did in GJ!

    1. Haha yeah I actually really like Sammy in dramas!! He should film more and frankly he’s pretty good looking 😉

  5. Cannot be directly under the armpit as we have to think about the newton’s 3rd law when shooting.

It will be better if Sharon gains some weight.

    Sammy and Sharon act well.

  6. Love this series already.

Great cast although I can’t really feel the chemistry between Tavia and Michael yet.

Sammy is quite natural in this role. For the first time, I don’t find him annoying.

Mandy is great as a non-citizen pregnant lady last night. Had a great laugh when she appeared. She should do more comedy series.

    1. He’s a dj and host. He usually does a lot of hosting work with this really short girl named Kitty Yuen.

  7. Everyone commenting on Sharon’s way of holding the gun obviously haven’t see the full length shot of this scene. If its the full length shot, we would definitely be talking about the length of her short skirt/long legs in this scene and totally ignore how she holds her gun. haha

  8. I really like Sammy in here too. I definitely think his popularity is going to shoot up as more of this series air.
