Viewers Guess Michael Miu is a Triad Mole in “Line Walker”

In TVB’s crime drama Line Walker <使徒行者>, Michael Miu (苗僑偉) is a cop in charge of commanding a group of undercover agents who are leading a double life in the triads. However, Michael’s character Cheuk Hoi is also leading a double life himself—cop by day, house husband by night.

In the series, Michael portrays CIB Chief Inspector Cheuk Hoi, a commanding officer. Michael is not new to cop roles, but the subject matter of Line Walker is enough to make Michael feel that he is playing a completely new role. “I didn’t know the CIB was that important for the police force. They need to infiltrate communications and manage undercover agents. The CIB’s main office isn’t even at police headquarters.”

There has been talk among viewers that Michael may be the triad’s mole in the police force. Michael laughed and said, “That’s good news. It means that the audience finds the storyline tight. They will be able to make some new discoveries soon.”

Amidst the heart-clenching scenes and suspenseful storyline, Michael and Elena Kong‘s (江美儀) love story also captivated viewers. Michael admitted that his romance with Elena is one of the drama’s heaviest stories. “Our relationship is very subtle. It makes it sound like I was being too nosy, but slowly I start to fall in love with her.”

In one scene, Michael dresses up as a chef to get closer to Elena. Asked if he would use similar methods to get closer to his wife, Jaime Chik (戚美珍), Michael said, “I used to, but now all of my family would cook together when we have the chance.” What is Michael’s specialty? “Frying some steak with wine on the side. Eggs too. Simple things like that.”

Michael and Jaime’s two children, Phoebe and Murphy, have grown up and are beginning to live independently. Is Michael finally free? “I have more time to spend with Jaime now, as well as with my soccer buddies. We’re a democratic family. If something comes up, we discuss and decide it together.”

Asked if Phoebe and Murphy are interested in joining the entertainment industry, Michael said he will not be against it, but this topic was never brought up. “If they do want do it, I will offer them my advice. It’s important to know what you want to do.”

      1. fully agree w/ lyssia. Viewers are stupid, but then so is the writer who wrote this article.

    1. besides patrick there is another mole, the one mentioned in the recording given to michael miu

    1. Yes, I keep wondering about it too. Had to be someone close with Foon Hei..Maybe one of his two henchmen.

      1. I did too, but then, Cai Fing pushed Foon Hei away, and got shot instead, for episode 15..hmm, unless he was acting to get more trust from Foon Hei.

      2. Should b Cai Fing cuz taking a bullet for Foon Hei would give more credibility to Cai Fing as a “trusted” lieutenant thus getting more inside info on the Foon Hei’s operation.

    2. i hope its cai fing! it would be good if hes the undercover!! i like how everyone is guessing who is the moles LOl 😀

      1. yep, i think so. Does anyone remember the scene when Thailand Guy want to kill Foon Hei after the explosion, . He shoot Chai Fing and wanna pull trigger again to die but He did not . He still alive until ep23 as a “silent” character . He also has a face in trailer as main character. He must anyone special at the end :)) if not, wasting a boxing man :))

  1. i am thinking the fifth uc is chai fing since he’s good in thai boxing. they all seem to have an expertise.

  2. It cant be him because makes mo sense. Anyway it is patrcik. Question is who is the boss he and foon hei is working for.

      1. Probably, because no one else as prominent.

Pop quiz; how many UCs does it take to take down 1 triad boss?

Everyone. Wayyy too many UCs that it is kinda funny.

      2. well like you said, triad BOSS. If it was that easy to take down a boss, than he wouldnt be the boss. He has so many people who are under him, it’d be hard to get close to him anyway.

    1. Stephen huynh.. he hasn’t make an appearance yet. That police chief played by lau kong should also be another black cop

      1. no lau kong shouldnt be a mole.

What we know for sure is that patrick is def. one of the moles in the police. the question, how many? why?

  3. i wonder what samantha ko is gonna do in LW…saw her in the theme song. And yeah, prob Chai Fing might b 5th undercover, tho i am really surprised patrick was the UC triad, never crossed my mind. Yay now Sharon and Sammy can b 2gether:)

    1. Samantha Ko posted on her instagram that in the drama, she is the big sister and the head of an organisation. She also disclosed that she has a part in making raymond and charmaine suffer

    2. Haha, there must be moles at both sides to make the story interesting.. Just like Internal Affairs.

      1. Infernal affairs;

one mole from police, 2 from triad.

in Line Walker; 4 moles at least in triad and 1 in ICAC (ICAC also needs moles) and so far seems to be at least 1 in the police force.

      1. No its not. michael miu is not the corrupted one. If you watched from beginning to now, the corrupted one is patrick.

    1. I wish. Not gonna lie, his face is way to lovable. And he’s actually kinda cutesy in a funny way in this drama

  4. It’s sad Foon Hei’s son died though. I cried when the scene when Foon Hei actually passed by the ambulance and does not know his plan had screwed his son’s life.

  5. Did anyone get creep-out by Benz’ laughter at the end of eps 15, after his son? I like how they add the “funny” said to this so-called baddy.

  6. It’ll be a twist that the 5th UC is Sharon, she’ll arrest Patrick and get back with Sammy 😀

    1. sharon need not be an UC to arrest patrick..2 UCs in ICAC is too much and not interesting enough

      1. I saw the advertisement short clips which Raymond showing 4 UC’s badges to the media in the drama and one of it was Sharon, if I’m not mistaken. Hence, from the start I’ve kinda confirmed 4.

      2. that trailer was filmed for the sales presentation, the storyline changed when they filmed the actual series.

  7. Michael might be a mole but is also a good cop probably similar to his role in high and low I think

    1. He’s not the mole. If you watched the ending of episode 14, there’s a scene where Patrick and Benz talk.

Even on the chinese wiki, Patrick’s bio now has 黑警,被覃歡喜收買.

  8. such a stupid article. We were shown that Patrick works with Foon Hei. He’s the black cop in the police force.

Why would michael miu be the mole? He’s doing all this because he wants to help his friend unreveal the truth behind his death.. If hes the mole, why did he needed to protect charmaine?

    1. @Elle – maybe he needs to save her ’cause he needs her to find the other 4 UCs. She’s the chance he’s got.

But I don’t think, at this point, that he can be the black cop, ’cause he really tries hard to do the right thing. I still don’t understand why the trailers show him hitting and fighting against his own though. Kinda suspicious.

  9. what does CIB stand for ? 😛

maybe foon hei himself is the 5th mole, cos they need him to get the big boss

    1. I agree! Foon Hay is the 5th mole. Listen carefully to the conversation between him and his son.

      1. No. It doesnt make sense logially.
        1. Kobe is sent to investigate Foon Hei originally.

        2. If Foon Hei is the 5th mole, then why did that person who died because of the black cop sent Kobe to investigate Foon hei? Because he would know that Foon Hei is the 5th mole he sent out.

      2. unless Foon Hei has an understory and was sent to investigate the thai people. But why kill his wife/husband? Why go that far?

      3. maybe its the bigg boss who gave orders to fung hei for killing wife/husband to proof he isnt an uc.

      4. then why kill the thai leader again in ep 15?
and why did kobe get sent to investigate foon hei?

or when kobe’s identity is out, why did foon hei send his people to kill him? :/

      5. then why kill the thai leader again in ep 15?
and why did kobe get sent to investigate foon hei?

or when kobe’s identity is out, why did foon hei send his people to kill him?

    2. someone different might sent foon hei and the guy who sent sammy doesnt know about foon hei as an undercover too? LOL
maybe he didnt kill his wife? probably they lll explain everything later

      1. my guess too. could be the black cop, foon hei found out and defected. we know he used to be a good cop.

  10. isnt the other black cop other than Patrick, Lau Kong, the ‘mentor’ of Michael? also the voice in the recording sounded like Stefan Wong, and he/whoever is in the recording has yet to appear.
Foon Hei may have been a UC, but it seems he may have turned his back on being a cop and decided to be bad. I think Michael also knows Foon Hei used to be a UC.

    1. I think after his son died and the factor causing his son’s death, Foon Hei might stop wanting to be a bad cop and return to being a good one. Twist upon twist.

      1. I don’t see how Foon Hei is a UC now and if he is the story has taken an unbelievably incredible turn considering the people he killed or hurt. And he is the oldest UC or longest serving UC.

His son’s death I suspect won’t make him turn into a good man. If the UC theory is debunked, I will say his son, always the almost moral conscience is now missing and Foon Hei will become even more cruel and a worse loose cannon than he already is. I hope the series take this direction because if it goes any other way it will make Line Walker into a comedy rather than a classy drama. Already now there;s too many twists and turns for the sake of twists and turns.

      2. I agree with Funn. His laugh at the end the episode was quite manic, not to mention how ominous that scene was…no way he wants to get back to being good.

We’re already halfway through the series I can’t believe it. My fave scenes are the Charmaine Sammy scenes, the Michael elena scenes and the three mothers.

      1. Both Patrick Tang and Foon hei works for Stephen Huynh.

The role stephen huynh plays is 宋 sir. When you listen to Foon Hei and patrick tang’s convesation, 宋 sir keeps on popping up. lool.

  11. Hmmm… I just hav this feeling thay michael is the darkest mole of all. He will find the identities of the 5 UCs and wipe them out all together 😉

    1. don’t think so, at the start when charmaine and Raymond were chase by the triads Toby inform Michael and he send coos to back them up. if he is the more then just let them killed by the triads

  12. I saw the advertisement short clips which Raymond showing 4 UC’s badges to the media in the drama and one of it was Sharon, if I’m not mistaken. Hence, from the start I’ve kinda confirmed 4.

  13. If Foon Hei is a mole then who does he wants to catch? A mole who stole billions worth of drugs and hired assasin to assasinate Soong Kam and his family? It doesn”t make sense to me though. If is so then this script writer’s conceptualization and mental reasoning are way off for his job.

  14. If Michael Miu is the mole then why Hong Sir called him? It was said Hong Sir discovered who is the black cop so why inform Michael if he is the one? Same thing if he is then this script writer’s conceptualization and mental reasoning are way off for his job.

Though there is a possibility that there might be more than 1 black cop but my wild guess would also falls to Lau Kong and Toby Leung (thought about it?).

    1. Yes did think about Toby since she is always so suspiscious but that could be due to bad acting.

  15. everyone did pretty good so far! Especially Benz acting is just amazing, he is so creepy.

Patrick Tang is annoying as always plus i never like him anyways haha

  16. Michael Miu and Raymond Lam’s collaboration is great. Anyone watched Highs and Lows? That’s another great drama by Michael and Raymond.

  17. Denz Hui for TV King. And I hope Sharon’s Yan die a long and painful death, so sick of her story.

  18. I don’t know why i really think Michael Miu is the bad guy. Theres a part where Michael has a gun pointing at Sharon.
