Sisley Choi Falls Out of Favor with TVB

Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) has seen her workload drop sharply in recent years. Apart from making a cameo appearance in Shaolin Women’s Soccer (女足) directed by Stephen Chow (周星馳), she has had very little work with TVB, clearly falling out of favor with the company. She has not filmed a drama for two years.

Meanwhile, filming The Airport Diary 2 <飛常日誌2> took place earlier, with Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and Samantha Ko (高海寧) both reprising their roles. Sisley previously said she would return for the sequel, but was nowhere to be seen. Given her history of unpopularity with netizens, this quickly made her a target of online criticism. Earlier, reports claimed that Sisley would leave TVB after her contract expires.

In November, the actress joined Him Law (羅子溢) and MidLife Sing & Shine! <中年好聲音> contestants Ramon Lo (羅啟豪) and Rex Teh (王鄭浚仁), to perform in New York and Los Angeles. In March, Sisley is scheduled to attend a music function in Guangzhou.

However, Sisley seems completely unfazed. In fact, she has been in great spirits, recently posting glamorous photos of herself on her 35th birthday. She wrote, “Red for rebirth. Chrome for clarity.Black for the fire’s shadow. This year, the story begins again. Thank you for all of your birthday wishes.”
