@m0m0 Holy shit this is racist and sexist. Infidelity is infidelity, why differentiate between white chinese or black???
-
Someone must have leaked it purposefully. Hope she wins
-
for once I agree with jingxi
-
@jesspepperwang I mean, she only had two songs.
-
Y'all. HAPPY YEAR OF THE OX. So, basically a rehash of the old dance show. Trying to be Viutv now? Too little too late. The problem is they don't have interesting artists. None of them are actually pretty enough or talented enough. Also idk why tvb wants to be associated with such a sus person. But they probably don't care about harassment.
-
@conan2209 actually. the only joke was when the Miss HK Lisa introduced herself as Lisa Jeh because she's Lisa Tse lol.
-
@bubbles23 worse with Liza and Dodo, they’re too heavyweights for anyone. At least Dodo seems open to jokes on her. People probably treat Liza like they would with Dowager
-
@conan2209 this. It was like HK version of running man where everyone went wild. Even it's last series is better than the shows now. Now it's a bunch of wannabes trying to appease to Liza Jeh lol.
-
@tinlunlau This is more news worthy than bringing Super Trio back. Herman Ho killed off music at tvb and replaced it with cookie cutter crap. Meanwhile Viu is putting resources into getting good singers and variety of songs on their shows
-
That's a pretty pic of Ali. I'm not happy it's happened but I agree it was imminent, they seem to have a stagnant relationship that wasn't going anywhere.
-
@bubbles23 you're probably right before no regrets period rather than after the communists took over which i think is a very sensitive time period.
-
@bubbles23 sounds like it. the last two were about the japanese invasion. it'd be repetitive is they do it again.
-
@conan2209 MAA is very re-watchable, if that's a word. Good dialogue + progression is what makes a drama re-watchable. I can't stand dramas with a table of people chatting about nothing.
-
@m0m0 does that make it the time period before No Regrets? I wanted to see Sheren in a modern series
-
@bubbles23 I saw an article online that that the story is set to be in the Early Republic of China
-
Any news on what time period the drama is set in? I hope it's modern this time
-
bubbles23 commented on Dylan Wang Grows Alongside His Character In “The Woman Who Cannot Fall In Love”Agree Qin LAN is gorgeous
-
@bubbles23 I enjoyed My Ages apart! My love for Ali aside, the shows were lead by folks that can act and their storylines nicely intertwined. Though 50 episodes long, there were no dull moments
-
@m0m0 in that case, I don't think there will be a tvb series that will really intrigue you. Maybe the pre-2000s dramas suit you better. I thought Bo'K had a very cohesive storyline and the leads fit the 60s look so well. My Ages Apart is long with many side plots but it was entertaining throughout without resorting to slapstick. Louis Cheung is better than Bobby here. If BY had better budget with more "cinema" feel that would be better, but story is solid, with excellent side characters. So far the past decade all the big budget productions have been what you'd likely call cliche.
-
@bubbles23 i don't get the hype w/ Barack o’karma. it's such a 90s drama style. i recall watching ghost them anthologies series just like and a few others just alike one of which had liu sak ming and kwok ho ying as the lead. didn't watch My ages apart entirely. i thought it was quite silly and i don't like bobby au yeung. watched Brutally Young here and there. for a tvb production, it is okay. but it's too tvb, from camera angel to storytelling so nothing refreshing.
