• honestly, this year the dramas aren't too good therefore not many performances that have really wowed me. my choices from this list are ali lee, sisley choi, kara hui and selena lee. i think ali and selena are the front runners this year. their roles were both very popular and acted well and their dramas seem to be getting good comments. i did really like sisley and kara's performance in the defected but hardly doubt they'll get an award.
  • i've always liked and seen talent in selena, but its almost like people only see how good she is after she's left tvb.
  • i think i like this one more than the first one. i remember always wanting to skip parts in the first one because it was so boring. besides venus wong missing, i quite like yoyo and jennifer as the female leads. jacky and kelly aren't that good but i guess it doesn't really matter since the male actors are the main focus.
  • @emiliachan then people let her disappear and ignore her. don't focus on her at all. People still talking about her is making her still relevant.
  • @vodka yeah i don't even hate her for cheating because its not my business. but her not even having the courage to face the media angers me, sooo irresponsible. she should be apologising in person and not posting some scripted apology on her IG where no one can even comment. i don't really want to think whether she deserves this, but she made the decision to cheat so she has to accept the consequences.
  • @orchid123 i agree with you, especially because this isn't jac's personal ig or her own page. i think its not about the money in her job, but just that people should understand that artistes chose to step into the industry where they will get criticised for their actions. so if they mess up like how jacqueline did, there really is no excuse. all they should wish for is that it will all be over soon and people forget it.
  • hahah funny she thinks she's going to be able to act again (not sooner or later at least) and is already training in an acting class. i really don't think people want to see her in tvb dramas anymore, let alone going to hollywood. and tbh, i really don't think she's good enough for hollywood as she is not even a fan favourite in tvb. even before this scandal, saw many hk people saying her acting is not good (average at the most).
  • @jimmyszeto LMAO BEST COMMENT EVER HAHAH.
  • i still remember him from come home love 1 but noticed he never got any chances from tvb which is sad. its a big sacrifice to give up law for acting, but i admire his persistence for passion as being a lawyer and actor in hong kong is very different in terms of money.
  • @emiliachan I think the problem is that Jacqueline is third female lead in the series and she has a significant storyline with Raymond Wong’s character (from what I read, yes their relationship is a love triangle thing — it’s another one of those “the guy is torn between 2 women” story arcs — though whether Jacqueline plays the third party or not, I’m not sure but it didn’t sound like it based on some of the stuff I had read about the plot). But this is why Raymond was supposedly so pissed off when he got wind that they might need to reshoot, since he is the one most affected. Like I said last time, I think ultimately whether TVB needs to reshoot the scenes or not depends on when they plan to air the series. If they aren’t willing to warehouse it and instead want to air it this year, then they have no choice but to cut Jacqueline out and reshoot. Otherwise, if they want to keep everything intact, then warehouse it for a couple years and see what happens.
  • @emiliachan Yeah, the name Quinta kinda grows on me too. :)
  • @kidd ikr i could only think of Queenie when they said their baby's name was going to start with Q. when i first heard they named her quinta i was kinda disliking the name, but now i kinda like it.
  • jacqueline really is causing so much inconvenience and trouble for more and more people. her family, friends, colleagues and company. personally, i was really looking forward to 'the offliners', 'finding her voice' and 'forensic heroes iv' and it angers me that jac has caused these dramas to be prohibited from airing (for a while at least). she is wasting not only other artistes work, but also those that work behind the camera. it takes 3-6 months to film dramas normally and now its all going to be wasted even if it does air ; people don't want to see jac's face (i wouldn't mind, but i'd rather not). as for her getting erased in forensic heroes i think its going to cost a lot of money and cause more attention and news for jac and the actress that replaces her. its really unfair to all the other artistes to refilm jac's role again, especially since forensic iv is such a big budgeted drama. but if they do replace jac i will feel just a tiny bit sorry for her, as much as i dislike her for her scandal, the role she filmed is still her hard work. i guess people could say its a punishment but i find it a bit too harsh. i think just cutting short jac's screen time and her not going to drama promotions would be more suitable. if they want to replace her, might as well just end her contract altogether.
  • @emiliachan I don't know if TVB is trying to help her? If they really wanted to help her perhaps they should have come up w/a better explaining for KM to go along with. Like somewhere along the lines of '' We have not been in touch due to our busy schedules blab blab vaguely not saying they have broken up but they did have their problems of this so called 2 year relationship not that it lessen the blow of being a homewrecker but at least the cheating is bc of this and that of their somewhat troubling relationship. TVB helping ? Humm... Not sure about that. Coffee woman? What did she do exactly? Bathroom kissing issue over some guy? Was she cheating and the dude married? I don't remember much of that as I didn't even know that actress. Didn't even know she got fired immediately over that? Seems like a 'small case' compares to this. lol....haha
  • @emiliachan exactly... coffee wasn’t as popular so it was no sweat off tvb back to fire her. Jacqueline is different somehow I guess. Letting her take a break to let her heal her emotions...
  • @tinlunlau exactly. its such a bad apology i cant even... plus its so short. her disabling comments just shows she's irresponsible, making people hate her more.
  • @jellybean3 yeah, i hate to say it too but seeing tvb didn't fire her immediately was already a hint that they wanted help her. back then, when coffee's scandal was revealed, she was fired the next day. what angers me most is jacqueline doesn't even have the courage to come out and apologise to people. i saw her instagram and it sounded so plain and not genuine, plus she kept her ig comments closed, another act of running away from the problem. i understand criticism and yelling is not pleasant, but all it's doing is making more people hate her.
  • @jcc10 yeah i already noticed she disabled her ig comments days ago... i'm starting to believe the rumours saying she already knew the scandal was going to be revealed. tbh she seems like a bold girl, her disabling comments on ig is so stupid. many people use ig to yell at artistes, its better to let people yell at you and be done, then run away from reality. and that clip, now i think about, looks like its not their first time.
  • @llwy12 kenneth doesn't have instagram. he has weibo though.
  • @passingby2 yeah, apparently he sold it to apple daily for $400k hkd. i think it is an offence because he's filming them and because he exposed it. but honestly everybody's thanking the taxi driver more than yelling at him cause he did everyone a favour by revealing the terrible actions of andy and jac. here's a link to the scandal and the legal rights relating to it https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/law-and-crime/article/3006453/racy-video-queen-canto-pop-sammi-chengs-husband-andy
