• @gnomageddon Agreed! I don’t know why people hate her so much here is crazy lol and just because she’s not a great actor. I mean she knows she’s not a great actress and that’s why she moved to hosting. Personality wise I like her and I do think she’s pretty. I know people also are very against that as well
  • @gnomageddon I have no doubt Grace is a genuinely nice person. Seen her in variety shows and her personality is very appealing...
  • Pretty boy. Definitely got good genes from both parents! Many people don't like Grace as an actor like @tt23 said, but after having watched a few of her interviews and whatnot, I must say, she is very graceful, eloquent, and really seems like a genuinely sweet and nice person. I like her as a person but her acting, not so much lol.
  • Honestly, maybe he needs some jail time. Just for a few months or something. DUI can lead to some really bad and serious consequences and he seems to be a repeat offender. A slap in the wrist will only allow him to do it again, and not teach him a lesson because obviously he hasn't learned from his 2005 offence. I don't want him in jail but how else will he learn? Should the courts continue to let him off the hook until one day he commits manslaughter? Then that would be a failure of the justice system to wait for a tragedy to occur before placing serious penalities. Better to teach him now than to wait for him to make a bigger mistake later.
  • Eh... don't care for Myolie but it makes sense for her to return to TVB. Quite frankly, it's just too hard for TVB or any HK artists to break into mainland China. Every one there is young, pretty, plastic lol, and can speak Mandarin fluently as their native tongue. I watched Myolie in that one actor's competition recently where she won best performer and I thought she was phenomenal there but I see that caliber as an exception and not her standard, unfortunately, based on her previous work. It'll be interesting to see how she fares if and when she makes a comeback to TVB. It'll be a career regression of course, but when you have no other market to go to, you have no choice. Btw, I wish Nancy Wu would STOP cutting her hair short like this. She has a very serious face already and this haircut just makes her look even more stern and less approachable. She's doing what Charmaine did... cut her hair and kept it short ever since. Neither look good with this short hairstyle in my opinion.
  • Poor girl. To be assaulted multiple times, she was indeed unfortunate, naive, and not smart. I don't doubt her story as I truly believe most woman would not want to come out and say they were victims of sexual abuse just for publicity. Netizens can be so harsh saying these things about her making this up. I mean, nobody will know for sure what happened, except for her but there is no need for her to say such traumatizing things just to make it onto the news. I hope she finds a good man or someone who will treat her right in her life. I don't know anything about her except she was King Kong's ex and despite the appearance and image KK gives, I've watched his interview before, and he seems like a good man. Not sure why they broke up but I would guess a girl that has gone through so much trauma must have a hard time building healthy romantic relationships with others.
  • I feel like Ruco has been out of the limelight so long that I wonder if he still has appeal or any star power left at TVB, to be honest. Like Nancy Wu, I don't know what happened to either of them. It's like they fell off the face of television the past few years. And we all know the saying, "out of sight, out of mind." Especially for artists, you gotta maintain some type of exposure here and there to still be relevant. I enjoyed his acting in the past but ever since AFWFW, it started going downhill for me. Like all other TVB dramas, they milk the same theme until audience gets sick of it. So when he did Unholy Alliance, I was over it. And now they want to show Chinatown. I just want refreshing content. I also don't get how TVB decides their drama lineup. I feel like some artists get over exposed like Samantha Ko with her 3 or 4 series back to back last year or 2 shows with Vincent back to back. And most of the actors and supporting cast are the same. The series are getting really redundant to watch. I'm looking forward to Ruco's return on screen but I wonder if his career might be done with as a big brother at the station. Oh and just listened to his song... he sang live but there seems to be some off notes. I liked his song in the movie Outbound Love but I don't really identify him as a singer and don't see him making any substantial presence in the music industry. He'll probably just sing mostly theme songs for dramas.
  • @gnomageddon I agree and it is not necessary to talk about that stuff in public. Honestly, she is not that great in looks or acting. Did you see her with no make up? She scared me as she looked like haggard and creepy.
  • @gnomageddon thats a possibility. I don't keep up with her (only recently because her husband reminds me of Wallace Chung) but has she always been open about her bedroom info?
  • @gnomageddon Steven Chow seems like an introverted person who loves and hates more intensely than normal people and that's ok.
  • @gnomageddon I was thinking the same thing. I understand supporting your wife... But your grown up kids? I would hope at this health stage they should be supporting him. Or at least be independent. Yeah I'm seeing more and more actors speak up for Stephen chow. And I 100 percent agree with the money thing. I don't like borrowing or lending money either... It can't really ruin a relationship of any kind.
  • @abcd I agree, I don't feel Stephen is as bad as people say about him. I remember watching a youtube video of him watching Law Ka Ying do a voiceover for some movie, and you can tell Stephen was not satisfied but he still bit his tongue and said yeah... it's ok. I think he is a creative person and more introverted so he may not be as friendly as people think. I think I also read that he is stingy or refuses to lend money to friends but I don't think there is a problem to that. Most of the time, you lend money to people, it damages the relationship because you can't ask for it back if they don't pay. And when you do, you are the bad guy. And when you don't lend because you don't want this situation to occur, you are still the bad guy. It's really a lose-lose situation right there. And as for Ng Man Tat... I hope he recovers and gets well soon. Yeah he may have 5 kids but shouldn't they all be grown up by now? So their dad has some money from acting all these years but come on, it's quite sad to still have to provide for your 40 year old kid when you are 70+. Hope his adult kids can be financially independent so their dad can rest and get well soon.
  • I'm actually really enjoying this drama. It's lighthearted and fun. Moses and Jessica are great together. The rest of the cast are good too. Refreshing faces. I thought I would be annoyed with Moses' high pitched English again but he toned it down so I'm fine with it. In fact, I even see some of his acting mannerisms rubbing off on Jessica as well cuz there was one scene where she went high pitched English too lol. The only complaint I have is that the cases aren't that interesting cuz the focus is so much on Moses and Jessica's relationship but I actually don't mind. It's a nice change to all the TVB series that focused more on cases and less on character development. I think this series would be successful if it had a title of its own rather than being part of the Armed Reaction franchise. It has nothing to do with AR except for a few scenes in the beginning with Joyce which were heavy and doesn't match the rest of the mood of the series. I'm fine with Joyce as an actor but I noticed that she hit a wall and built up a wall with her acting a long time ago (probably around the time she broke up with Marco) and ever since then, her acting has been very stiff and serious and not fun to watch. Even in Come Home Love which is a family comedy, she gives off a drab vibe. I wish someone could shake her, literally, to help her break through her barrier lol. Anyway, I don't miss her character in this series. AR did well when it did and her storyline has had enough and is over.
  • @gnomageddon yeah that was a really strange thing to say. She seems kind of clueless
  • I use to like him but him losing his cool and temper is such a turn off. He really does sound insecure with a very low EQ. I think his ex Jennifer Shum was too mature for him now that I look back at their relationship. Ben wanted his freedom and the fact that Bowie just lets him do whatever makes me feel like she just loves him too much and perhaps not mature or old enough yet to realize this is a flaw. Not saying she has to control him but like another commenter said about what she said during the camping show about not trying to help him quit an addiction just goes to show how passive she is or just not mature enough to realize that stuff like that is not a characteristic that he cannot change but a problem if indeed he does develop an unhealthy addiction.
  • Maybe Grace really kept her virginity until marriage and that's why she seems to place a lot of focus on her sex life in her marriage based on her songs and this interview. Like someone who first started drinking and constantly wants to try new things and talk about it. I'm not a prude by any means and sex is a critical part of a relationship, but I find her a bit too much. I'm not conservative either, growing up in the US just like her, but I feel like this type of intimate detail about how her hubby initiates sexual desire by swaying her, etc is really inappropriate and embarassing for her husband. She can discuss this with her closest gfs but to put stuff like this out on the media is not the right way to go. Maybe it's just me. I embrace liberalism but it doesn't sound like she considers how her husband feels before she speaks. I remember reading another article where she said her husband's coworker watched her music video or something like that too. Anyway, I just think maybe because she just started having sex after marriage, that's why she is so focused on it and vocal about it. Whereas people who have been active for years and been in marriage or long term relationship understand that passion and sexual lust dissipates and yeah it is something both parties have to work on to keep the fire alive in the relationship and in the bedroom. It's just a normal process most people in long term relationships go through.

  • @gnomageddon the rest of the cast is exciting but yeah disappointing about Charlene as the leading female actress. Maybe she will surprise us
  • @gnomageddon Thank you! I agree 1000%, couldn't have said it better myself. I had to do a double take when I read "dream cast" and saw Charlene Choi's name. Catherine Chau is a much better actress. For sure the pool of actresses is limited. The problem with HK movies is that they keep using the same actors. There's a guy, he's older and kind of fat and has a mole with hair... I swear he's in every drug/gang movie.
