• Performing Art is a very subjective skill. Factors Including the skills of the actor, the script, producer/director reputation, other series in competition, available fan base, judging panelists' tastes/interests, to name a few, as well as company politics, timing and simply luck can affect the outcome of a TV King/Queen selection. The saying, "May the best actor win" often won't even be applicable! At least Ruco will have some strong competition, which I would say, is more interesting than the Queen title which really has no competition! Being the best among the weakest somehow doesn't sound too accomplishing!
  • @joyce Or ... creative negotiations! Lol! Or sophisticated blackmailing. Jokes. Ruco wouldn't do that, I'd think!
  • Even @ $30k HK per episode is not a lot of money considering the amount of hours a lead artist puts into the filming of a drama. For a 30 episode drama, he'd get $900000 (or $150000 Canadian), considering in Canada, a middle manager in the public service gets close to $100000 per year, a plumber or electrician $120000, likely with fewer hours, the TVB artists are not paid well at all, especially with HK's housing market into the tens of million dollars. At $3k per episode is grossly underpaid ... meagre! Back to the topic, it is about time TVB honours Ruco with the well deserved TV King title. He's portrayed many different roles superbly, Not only that, no matter whom he has been partnered with, he has been consistently able to bring out the best in everyone around him! TVB should definitely recognize his efforts!
  • The news is getting boring and repetitive. Same 3 pictures of "dates" they allegedly had: Sammi concert, hiking, and dessert in Ruco's car! Hardly any suggestions? let alone proof of any romantic relationship developing between the two. Ruco has already discounted the reports at least 3 times and Nancy has also finally hinted her corroboration, albeit in an indirect manner. Maybe the sponsors of this event were bored of this old news and decided to pair each of them with different artists. Good strategy on their part if that was in fact the case! Enough already!
  • @joster555 I appreciate your opinion, but please understand that I, likely everyone else who commented too, have no intention of interfering with Ruco'sor Nancy's lives. You are giving us too much credit. I was merely expressing my opinion, like you are now doing, and sharing my interpretation of the rumours, the affected parties' reactions, body language, etc. My analysis drew me to a conclusion that Nancy seems to welcome and wish a romantic relationship with Ruco while he does not. Ruco, being the gentleman that he is, has been pretty careful and guarded with his responses so as not to mislead the press and at the same time, not hurting Nancy's feelings. Not a good place to be, I'm sure! Anyways, I may try to influence your thinking, but most definitely not trying to interfere with anyone's lives!
  • Loved all your responses to my comments. Despite what those astrological or other superstitions seem to suggest, I don't think Nancy is Ruco's cup of tea. He seems to like (and deserves) the reserved, respectable types of girls. Nancy just gives the air of the opposit. I just hope a Canadian girl for Ruco because I am Canadian. Lol. I actually think he'd like my daughter but unfortunately she is already attached. Lol.
  • @diana80 I agree! How about someone outside the entertainment circle and Canadian.
  • One last word: the astrological stuff cannot possibly trump true feelings in your heart; can it?
  • Having said the above, I sense that Ruco believes in fate and fortune tellers; and he revealed that his potential wife has already "appeared'. I think his and Nancy's astrological signs and Chinese birth signs are compatible. He's said many times that Nancy's a lucky charm. Maybe he has had s change of heart and thinks she's the one? ... another theory. Yes, you are right, I do have a lot of time on hand to do these analyses. Lol. Take it whatever way you'd like!
  • Although Ruco has been quite open in complimenting Nancy and commenting in her IG: these gestures are not typically Ruco and suggest that they are close friends and colleagues, rather than romantic partners. Ruco is shy and would not draw attention that way. My take.
  • It does seem more overt that Nancy is interested in pursuing the alleged relationship based on her comments (or lack thereof) and her body language. Ruco has denied at least twice. I have heard Ruco say before that he would share the news if he was in fact dating. Maybe his fan club members should ask him pointedly. (Then let us know his response ...
  • @jimmyszeto I believe male these days are becoming more comfortable in accepting their mates as potential major "bread winners" in their households. Although still a slow process, but more and more couples are deciding to have the father staying home to look after the children while the mom works outside the home. A pleasing trend indeed. Mutual respect is an important driver in a sound marriage. Best wishes to the newly weds again!
  • @yeny ??? ??????? Am I missing something or are you? Funlim just made an observation. But I think it's always the woman's name first, at least at the weddings I have attended here in Canada. Is there a proper protocol? (Not that I follow them closely, lol) Wonder what Miss Manners would say?
  • @funnlim very well articulated! I totally agree with your thoughts. Thank you for sharing!
  • @isay let's forget about them, they're just people like us, maybe they have more enemies than us normals. Lol. Have a good day!
  • @isay no problem. You've expressed your opinions and I've expressed mine. We're both biased. I've already said previously that there are different perspectives. Not sure why you keep commenting on my same post? I sense that you are trying to alter my thinking? Let's just agree to disagree and move on! I hold firm on my impressions of Linda, Nancy and you. I'm sure you do too!
  • @isay it's ok for you to disagree. But I just wanted to share how I arrived at my conclusions. I feel it's more meaningful than merely making statements. i so think Linda is close to being perfect and it would not bother me a bit if you expressed the same sentiments towards your own idol. Of course I am biased, aren't we all? Otherwise there would be no variety in the world. How boring and monotonous life would be?
  • @kangaroo thank you. But unfortunately it has offended some!
  • @dandan hopefully soon there will be mini Tavias and Himhims running around. Next step for all newly weds!
  • @janet72 not at all. My son is an Optometrist and has his own practice. He has associates who will cover for him while he travels with his wife for months. I know Linda's husband's clinic has associate doctors as well. So it's not a big deal to reassign the patients to an associate or he can even close the clinic as he's self employed, The patients can be referred to another in case of emergency. But I have not heard what her plans are. I'm pretty sure she'd get help (a nanny maybe) unless she's only coming for a short time. But it would be hard to leave a baby for a day, let alone days or months. It's much easier with skype and all the other technology these days, much harder in my days as a young mother going on business trips!
