HK actors just ain't cute enough for BL dramas :P
-
Both parties are trying to gain public sympathy and it's not working. ZS & ZH are both not fit to be parents. I just feel so bad for the kids. I hope they can grow up normally but I feel like this saga is going to cast a shadow over them their entire lives.
-
@karina Just found out that banning BL dramas is a proposal made by the washed-up screenwriter Wang Hailin who revived his fame by his daily bashing of Xiao Zhan and Untamed. What's super hypocritical is his involvement in the 227 alliance cyberbully campaign against Xiao Zhan in the name of fighting for creative freedom!
-
@karina It's just a rumor about the ban. There are dozens of BL dramas in production and some soon to be released.
-
wow evreything is just getting worst and worst. On top of the surrogacy their babies are also "anchor babies". it's just so sad she discarded her babies like they were designer bags she didn't want anymore.
-
When the Government gets involved you know you're in deep sh*t. Her career basically got destroyed overnight. perhaps this whole drama is a lesson for us to think deeply before consider having children... they ain't toys that can just be deposed
-
They would be stupid if they banned it. If China cares about "soft power" or w/e then BL is the way to go LOL. If anyone has lurked twitter you'll see screaming fangirls how The Untamed / MDZS really boosted interest in Chinese culture worldwide.
-
This scandal is such a hot mess... I doubt even more that ZS will sign those documents. ZH might gave ruined her career overnight but all of this was her own doing
-
@karina Hong Kong is part of China, that’s without a doubt. Perhaps I did not express myself well earlier and thus it got interpreted as a comment with political intent. anyone and everyone has a views on all matters. We can choose not to voice our opinions, we can choose to agree or disagree. However, does it necessarily mean that a naysayers can only be wrong?
-
@karina Agreed! I don't like it either, but I acknowledge it's presence.
-
I think this is the reality of today’s world. Tiktok/Douyin is here to stay and people need to get over it. I don’t get the appeal either but hey I can see why Zoomers like it. Technology is only going to keep advancing
-
@conan2209 bowing to the Chinese? LOL aren’t HKers also “Chinese” even of if they don’t identity as one? They ain’t white that’s for sure.
-
@exodus wait what how can PRC make its own brainwashed ver when Mulan is originally from Chinese history LOL. By your logic since the US "Disneyfied" it is that brainwashing?
-
Looks like the girl in Pacific Rim! tvb plagiarizing again? haha
-
This is basically another tug-a-war between U.S and China now lol. U.S did make Mulan popular in the first place back in the 90's and China now wants to take back the narrative since it is their history I guess.
-
She's beautiful but can't act to save her life. I wonder how she feels about her Hollywood debut being a Flop. I remember reading about how she had this godfather early in her career helping her advance in the industry but apparently they had a fall out. Really curious how she got this "coveted" Mulan role...
-
Charmaine’s success in the mainland is always a surprise to me knowing how cnetz are super picky about women’s appearance and she isn’t exactly a classic beauty. Girl has hustle and I admire that
-
@jujuxoxo All these TVB “actors” born overseas bail HK the first chance they get whenever there’s an obstacle or aim to marry rich cuz their career aren’t sustainable if it wasn’t for TVB having no more talent. The HK entertainment industry is sooo sad rn
-
@karina TVB is so desperate... ppl kinda moved on from Linda I feel. For my part I completely forgot about her. I used to really really like her a lot now I just feel she comes back to make good money.
-
@karina are you talking in term of politicians actions? There are many Americans wants to right the wrongs, but politicians being politicians are not allow such thing done easily but you hear about these rallies, these protests, people around the world knows about black lives matter. Meanwhile, do you hear or see Chinese inside China rally for Tiananmen Square massacre??? That’s the difference. Americans aren’t saint, but at least they are a lot more free than Chinese live in China. Also a lot of key figure activists don’t need to flee America the way many Chinese/HK activists have to.
