• its fine to see sammy has recovered this quick, the power of religion is really unbelievable and scary as well because it can totaly dominate your mind. but i think this also gives a bad signal for other husbands with a christian wife. they know they can cheat once and still their wife may forgive them.i hope she took the right desicion, but if andy wasnt exposed by the taxi driver, would he still has confessed his cheat in public?
  • what a shame how could he do this to sammy, he destroyd himself and hurt everyone who loves him.he better go to be a monk for the rest of his life in redemption, if he really mean what he said in the press conference. but i bet he still cheating on sammy if he wasnt exposed in the taxi.i think from the four people sammy feels the most pain this case. for kenneth ma this is just good for him to see this women's real face.
  • @megamiaow, what else did you expect for such genre movies? what more painfull to see is that the same actors which dominate the big screen for more than 20,30 years are still on the top of the hill now. louis koo is a big star but i dont need to see him in almost every new movie. there are just no worthy succesors for them. i mean young stars that have the charisma of chow yun fat or andy lau or tony leung are totally vanished in hk. what you see nowadays is that former kelefe's such as philip keung fill this holy gap.
  • there is good time and there bad time you can't stand on top forever. talented people come and go you can't expect there will come a new bruce lee or leslie cheung every year. im blessed that i could see so many good movies, shows and music from so many talented entertainers, actors directors in last 30 years. yes its hopeless now, times has just changed.
  • @kolo Definitely. Kong Wah is the best actor among the three (Louis Koo, Raymond Lam and Kong Wah).
  • @mike i know kong wah will not easily make a come back but if he get a chance to act beside fat gor and there is a good script with a significant role to play then i think he will. still it is a great miss if he isnt in a step into the past movie version. i think he will outshine louis and raymond if he is in.
  • @kolo It'll be hard to get him back out. He joked in an interview he met fat gor and told him he'll come back to acting if fat gor has a project for him.
  • i miss kong wah why didnt louis cast him back in this movie version. he is one of the main villain in the drama version.
  • @kolo I have no problem with the old songs and they are great. I get that this is probably paying tribute to the 94 version. I am just disappointed that the production team were unable to get a new wuxia-themed song written for this series and just used the main theme and subtheme of the 94 version instead. They have other songs by beautiful new voices like Zhou Chen and Hu Xia made for the more romantic themes but none for the wuxia element. The great and memorable themesongs of the classics instantly bring back memories of the series and the music and lyrics can create a wuxia atmosphere, even when hearing it many years after. I am just disappointed that this series does not have a unique wuxia themesong for it to call its own for people to remember it by years later.
  • @elizabeth the themesong was actually that from the 1994 version of dragon sabre which is in my opinion the best remake of jin yongs novel.
  • @davy i think thats because most actors are not familiar with kung fu. most of them are not real wuxia actors like jet li or donnie yen. so when everythng is in slow motions then its much easier for them to perform some moves. so they try to compensate the lack of this with excessive use of cgi and slow motions.
  • @kolo No it was not even choreographed at all, I bet they cheaply came up with all the fighting themselves without any choreographer. This is a description of how they fight, so somebody throw something or punch in slow motion then the other person dodge in slow motion. After just 1 attacking move like that, it already lasted 5 seconds which is enough for them to move to a different type of move. Which is where one person fly into the air slowly, then somebody slowly attack with magic power and hit the person in the air. The person in the air slowly fly backward and hit some stuff that break slowly, and he got hurt. The injured person ran away so slowly that he wouldn't have escaped if you would stop staring at him slowly and just attack him from the back. If it was choreographed, when you fast forward things they will still look ok, but for this drama it's really hilarious I laughed so hard.
  • @davy the fight scenes is actually quite good choreographed but indeed due too many slow motions makes it a bit irritating to watch.. agree just use slow motions only as neccessiarly such as a critical hit. i rather watch bruce lee or jet li movies in full speed than seeing them fight with many slow motions scenes.
  • @kolo pls la. I argued based on figure and facts. Unlike most people here argue with emotion and perception. Without those hong kong costars, stephen box office in CJ7 only 47M USD. But his kung fu hustle USD 100++M box office. By that time also he got lots of enemies already thats why he stopped filming. Now only he can target china audience because they duno what is quality as long as local people acted on it then its nice. You study history of china box office will know it they mostly support local production.
  • @lam86 i think ng man tat was stephen chows best side kick untill now, ng man tat is an great actor he isnt only good in comedy roles but also various type of roles. but to say stephen chow would not that popular without all his supporting actors is an understatement. of course a good movie is not just one actor but when i buy a ticket to watch stephen chows movie it isnt because of ng man tat or stephen chow but because his comedy movies are damm good. stephen chow was a genius in acting and producing comedies. his creativity and sense of humor was unique. his best works are shaolin soccer and kung fu hustle. but after that he wasnt able to reach those level anymore.
  • @wm2017 the difference is that alan having a mistress is because his wife's infertility and jacky did it just for the sex. moreover jacky never acknoledge his daughter while alan not only care about his mistress but also a top notch father.
  • @kolo Yup…come to think of it, same thing can be said about all of TVB’s programs nowadays. Even shows that TVB puts together to supposedly “pay tribute” to veteran artists end up being a platform for TVB to shamelessly promote their own artists and singers. I’ve stopped watching all TVB “tribute shows” over the years because they do nothing but piss me off with the blatant way they use veteran artists’ names for self-promotion….
  • @llwy12 zero credibility is a good word to describe this award show. it has become a podium to promote their own artist. nothing more than that.
  • @janet72 yes james wong was one of the greatest song composer/writer that have made cantopop great, also many other great singers and composer have passed away while other retired. there are just no succesors of that level nowadays.
  • @kolo canto pop died after james wong passed on.
