• @bennyjr, not dying but already death is the hk music industry for a decade now. same shall happen with the movie industry. there are just no new proper replacement for the old stars who are retiring or already retired or died. who can replace chow yun fat? who can replace alan tam? who can replace jacky chan? no one. the whole hk cantonese music movie culture will fade away like candlelight.
  • @pompidur i also agree his acting in brutally young is subtile, its a feature that only the best actors possess, such as actor tony leung and anthony wong. only negative thing is that he also possess some boring or wooden aura that may limit him to certain roles.
  • @kolo In the '94 version, I was so much more mesmerized by Sun Xing as Yang Xiao that I almost skipped all the scenes with main characters. Haha.
  • @jimmyszeto tony leung '86 version of cheung mo kee is still the best. his charm is unparalleled. the second best is '94 version with steve ma. and the worst cast ever of cheung mo kee is the 2009 version with deng chao as lead. he looks like a kelefeh.
  • @pompidur maybe tvb executives has instructed yoyo to not do stupid things to harm vincents image. a divorce will be devastating for vincents image and so his career. but i believe vincent dont love yoyo since he didnt even put her name in his property.
  • @jimmyszeto this just show how immature she is,she is a 30+ not a teenage girl. no brain.
  • i think its time for kenneth to venture outside tvb now otherwise it will be too late for him. with his 45 years old he is not young anymore. he better follow the way of his buddies raymond lam and bosco wong. maybe signing for louis koo's company is good for him.
  • @kolo TVB artists that have indirectly supported HK police are being freezed out. Just look at Ali, she didn't even say much at all.
  • to say that he support the hk police openly he has nothing to lose. radical protestors are not tvb audiences, so tvb will not freeze him. on the other hand he will just receives thump ups from mainlanders, his popularity from mainland and mainland markets will only increase. there is a big chance he gets more opportunities from the mainland markets. so the question is, is he really sincere or is he just using this for more opprotunities?
  • @llwy12 whether it will be a succes or not for frankie depends on 2 things. one is if he can choose the right person on the right spot and second if there is enough investors that bring a lot of money. but i think without a tv license its hard to attracts investors and ads income which is crucial for a tv station. he may have the right vision but without hard cash he cant survive.
  • its amazing that roger kwok is still there on tvb to fight for tvb king anno 2019. i remember when i was a child in the '80ties he was already a first line tvb actor. his acting has really improved through the years. i hope he can break the record.
  • while she is a passerby, it was herself who confront the violent rioters by record those who was demolishing a atm machine. if you do so then you could imagine some crazy rioters could beat you up. it is not the first time rioters beating other citizens. so she could have been more careful. gregory wong: everyone have freedom of speech. of course but no one have the freedom to beat someone up. and speaking about provoke, the rioters are provoking the police many times now, so how do he think about his fellow rioters?
  • @kolo Agree. As I said above, use words instead of violence. At least with words, people can see your reason and possibly side with you, but through violence, people only see the remains of your wreckage and their lives being negatively affected. P.S. you = the protestors
  • i initially support the peacefull demonstrations but when i see how this demonstrations have changed from peachefull to violent, i dont support it anymore. why are the rioters doing this to their hometown? i can't see how the rioters can reach their goal by demolishing public buldings and assets, and by provoking the police everyday. the hate for the hk police is tremendous, oke there are some corrupted police but i dont think the whole 30000 hk police unit are corrupted. this is going totally out of control now. the hk economy and other hk citizens are paying the price for their fury. the leaders of the democratic parties in hk should make a statement to their followers to stop this violence otherwise im afraid the only outcome they wait is the chinese army and they are not that gentle as the hk police. pls stop this violent and start talking with the gevernment.
  • @kolo Don't get all political here if you don't want to start a sh!tstorm.
  • im very proud that tony have take this role as mandarin. tony is a hongkong star a hongkong legend, he dont represent china but hongkong, hong kong is not china. tony rarely act as a villain so im really excited to see his portraying as mandarin.
  • i just can not believe this look at those eyes, photoshoped?
  • if marvel really choose ross butler as shang chi, he will make his father (donny yen) looks like a goblin. butler is 190cm tall against donny with 167cm. my god.
  • @kolo Yes and no. Most of the other artists of his stature are either choosing not to comment or if they do, it’s something very fake-sounding and generic or they try to feign ignorance hoping the issue will go away or they show clear discomfort talking about the issue (some of the bolder ones actually take a side, but then backpedal when they start getting called out by netizens). With Kenneth, he was pretty much his regular self, smiling and waving at protestors (even though they were outright booing him) and even afterwards, in an interview, said all they did was shout slogans and as long as they kept safety in mind (since there were kids at the event as well), he was fine with it, no big deal at all. He didn’t try to avoid talking about it, he didn’t condemn the protestors or try to jump to TVB’s defense (which some have been doing on social media), of course he didn’t show that he supported the protests either — pretty much just acknowledged they were going on and responded tactfully. Of course it might not be him...it could be he just has a really really good PR person coaching him, in which case, that person should definitely get a raise, lol.
  • @llwy12 I think kenneth just give a diplomatic answer here. of course he will take a neutral stance, because one party gives you salary and the other party gives you popularity so he has just no choice. He is not the retired alan tam with millions of money in his pocket.
