Quite obvious that Dicky is carrying this series hard, heck even his characters chinese name is essentially Dicky lol. It's easy to see the low budget in the series though, compare the sets used in this drama vs Lords of Shanghai. I think another positive about this series, is that there is always something new happening in every episode. Since it is Dicky's comeback series (an possible last series for a long while), not suprised that they have Dicky in the forefront, taking most of the dialogue. The series is made for him after all.

@funnlim TVB has this thing where they spend the first few episodes not knowing where it doesnt quite match what it was advertising in the trailers. Same thing with the Exorcist meter.

Babyjohn has been around for a couple of movies, nothing special about his acting. Ada has aged, weight loss and her voice is a bit raspy/tired. I can tell she is really trying to hit that comedic timing. I thought it was ok, I guess better than part 2, we'll wait and see.

Anyone have any idea about this series "反黑 - OCTB": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qJaP5U4vQE I didn't even know this was in production, and its actually in an official channel on youtube. It's got quite the cast.
-
Kenneth Ma's acting might make this series even worse ol.
-
Looking at the cast list, not sure who the big baddie counterpart to Dicky Cheung's character, hopefully it's not the "someone betrays him and helps the enemy side story", then I'm thinking Tony Hung's character is the betrayer. Remember how bad Tony's acting was in Captain of Destiny.

Back to losing weight for the role again.
-
It's quite easy to see improvements in Sisley than Grace Chan, look at the variety of roles that is given to Sisley compared to Grace.
-
Yeah well, they also like to say Louis Koo owe TVB 40 episodes or something. No chance Koo will have any time to come back or even drop his projects to come. I mean they wooed Dicky Cheung back at least, that's a plus. But seeing the costume fitting, we are back to the Shanghai sets again.

When siu sangs in the 20s were actually very good, but that was in the Tony, Sean Lau etc generation.
-
I was mortified at how uninteresting this series was lol when it aired on Mytv Super.
-
When its a bad series, better fill holiday timeslot with it, meanwhile Mytv Super airs the mandarin dub of the Infernal Affairs TV series in HK.
-
Is this airing on My TV Super already yet? If so, is it in cantonese?

@funnlim Correction: He wasn't a Jedi nor was he in charge of the holy temple. So yes the article is mostly correct. Someone that is force sensitive, doesn't make them a Jedi. He was one of the Guardian of the Whills, their job was to ensure sure the Kyber crystals weren't misused.

I couldn't finish ep 1. Kenneth Ma in comedies though....
-
Gotta give it to Ruco, otherwise it would've been such an upset, well from the media's point of view. Gotta keep milking the Ruco/Nancy pair as well. TVB needs to make sure these artists are renewing their contracts :P

What an ending, now wondering what the sad ending is. Also what was that just before the credits fully ended?

@funnlim In terms of Yan, I knew at least he wanted to stall the search for Roger, simply because he broke mok hung wah's neck immediately and head shot the other person involved. Maybe it was a deal that if Yan became involved he would get Cathy for himself. I always thought Yan had some sort of agenda in keeping Cathy with him. Also Yan would've had a relationship earlier with Cathy or a chance, if he wasn't kidnapped, and Cathy met Roger instead. Who knows if Yan was jealous that whole time, pretending to be accomodating. We have been shown a few scenes where Yan crossed the line, and more so after he misinterpreted, and thought Roger wanted Cathy to lose the baby to spite Yan (But in actual fact Cathy would either have a K-baby if she is keeping it or abort the child). I also thought Cathy was silly not to tell Yan about her condition earlier, I can understand how she doesn't want to disappoint Yan, but at the same time, she is also taking away Yan's right as a husband in being part of the decision making. I doubt it's Max, that would be just terrible writing. Max's dad paid for him to learn from Roger, I doubt Max hated his job, so I doubt that was any sort of enmity between him and Roger. (Unless TVB throws a random flash back to show there was something, I doubt it) I don't think it's Max father, considering he paid Roger to mentor his step son (Max), and actually cares for Max development. If it is indeed Cathy, then oh wellz, it means TVB wanted to go the route of having another female character be the "appear nice/but actually bad and very manipulative" to get their way, ala Two Steps From Heaven.

Kenneth Ma in another comedy, not really hyped for this at all, besides the Tracy Chu cameo.
