• @lynn90 Why blame it all on Micheal? I am sure Gillian has plenty of faults too. It takes 2 to tango...
  • @lynn90 not sure if divorce will affect Gillian’s career. They rushed to marriage. But better to clean up mess earlier than later
  • @lynn90 I think we have to remain neutral regarding who was a fault. Likely both when it comes to a relationship rather than heap criticism blindly on one side.
  • Quite the contrary, I ADMIRE AND APPLAUD Gillian for divorcing him so early on knowing she'll be judged as finicky, insecure, attention seeking, validation chaser. This can turn into an ugly scandal that will affect her career, but she still went through with it. She could've been like other couples who are married on paper, but have side chicks, and want the world to believe that all is peachy when the wife forgives and their family is still together. Honestly, we can't blame Gillian and say she married him for all the wrong reasons. What are the wrong reasons? It felt like she liked him so much, she was naively and willing to marry him no matter what. Yes, perhaps she was touched that a guy like him liked her enough to marry her. Why? Is that wrong? The girlfriend is almost 40 years old and all this time, she has never found anyone she was heading towards marriage with except this guy so perhaps she just really really liked him and thought she can accept his flaws. However, marriage life will either make those flaws smaller or bigger and in this case, she realized she couldn't love him anymore. I've never seen Gillian publicize anything as much as him before. She was really smitten by him to risk so much. If she was doing everything for fame, she could've done many things out of desperation a long time ago, so I think she sincerely liked him enough to publicly marry him and thought it may last forever. I mean, why would she kill her own career and reputation if she doubted him and the marriage? She even took time off and medicine to start a family that made her gain weight, which is a direct career killer because she sells her looks for a living. She was pretty serious with this guy. How much more does she need to do to show that she did? She put him on the map. He's lucky anyone even pays attention to what he has to say. Secondly, he's the divorcee here. His previous marriage wasn't a long one either. It was him who kept having rumors of fling after fling. I mean, if you divorce once, perhaps it's half your fault but if you divorce again, maybe you're the problem. Based on his post and disclosure of private conversations, he is immature. If she didn't cheat on you, actually, you're the cheater here, then don't victimize yourself. Be a man and grow up. He blames her for the failed marriage that she doesn't love him enough to make it appear like she's finicky but won't divulge why she doesn't love him anymore because it's going turn ugly for him. Like perhaps she doesn't want to sleep with someone who sleeps around behind her back? Dude, go Gillian. Divorce his sorry butt if that makes you happier and freer. Who cares what other have to say. We all make stupid mistakes including marriages, but the best remedy is get out as soon as you realize time is not to be wasted on people like him. But I'm glad this isn't her worse situation, so she'll get through it like the others.
  • Perhaps Gillian didn't want to catch anything especially him and his cheating ways. When a man cheats, it chips away at our love for him no matter how strong we are and want to forgive him and stand by him. There's a breaking point.
  • @lynn90 Very well said but sadly some still do not get it. Wu Chun has only filmed reality shows lately but that is it. He had no singing or acting skills. He just tried to get by due to his looks which I never found that attractive. All of the other 3 members in Fahrenheit have pretty decent to good solo careers but he has nothing in comparison to them in that aspect. Since he has nothing, he has to milk his personal life which I find sad but also hilarious too.
  • @lynn90 I agree but sadly some just do not get it and think that lying through their teeth is ok. Some even lie point blank when caught red handed. I can understand if you have to due to the circumstances as it would depend on the situation. But if you lie just to protect your image and play everyone then that is not ok. Then the truth comes out and you over expose your lover, wife and family. What the heck? Yes, I adore Hu Ge too and wish him the best. He seems like such a wonderful guy. I hope his future partner will cherish him and treat him well.
  • @hetieshou It's hilarious. I guess, fans or the public can't have morales anymore? Anything celebrities do are excused? Any lies are swept under the rug? I don't see the harm in fans or anyone expressing their thoughts and opinions on how lying is not okay. I adore Hu Ge, wishing him the very best.
  • @joojin I think it's pretty silly to call anyone who disagrees hate. I'm not going to assume why he lied or that he's too rich to lie or that it wasn't his idea to do the show or that losing one fan isn't going to affect his career. All the things you listed are irrelevant and doesn't negate the fact that he lied all these years. I don't see what's so hard to accept that he lied? His career has been affected, besides filming reality shows, his professional portfolio has been empty for the last few years. It's not hard to stay in the ET circle these days especially when you're selling your family and private life. It's hilarious to see.
  • @hetieshou @lynn90 I don’t get it, why so much hate to Wu Zhun lol. Sure he did lie, but hey, back then he was young and he just started his career as an entertainer, image is extremely important especially being an idol at that time. He’s flashing it now may due to he felt sorry for burying his wife after so long. It could be a form of acknowledgement to her? And FYI, Wu Zhun himself is very rich to begin with, he doesn’t need to stay relevant in the entertainment industry to survive. He’s basically set for life. Pretty sure it was the producers who approached him to document his love story as well cause they find it marketable, and most probably not Wu Zhun himself. People are so confusing, when celebrity hide their loved one, people condemn and now acknowledging them, people complain as well lol. Be sad all you can, losing one fan alone will not affect them.
  • @lynn90 I agree and was about to say the same things. He lied through his teeth for such a long time but is now gushing about his wife and kids at every chance he gets. I find that so sad and pathetic. If he was so keen on sharing his private life then why didn’t he share from the beginning? He could have been honest and fans would have accepted. If they are your true fans then they would support you no matter what. I guess Wu Chun has no talent in singing or acting so has to showcase his kids and now his wife in order to get attention. I find that so very sad and am disgusted by his behavior. He was all saying how his wife did not like the limelight. Really? If so then why is he showcasing her so much now? They both turned 360 degrees. What the heck? Hypocrites and compulsive liars! I bet their teeth will fall out soon. I like Hu Ge a lot and he has always been open and honest about his relationships. But the good thing is, his fans are mature and supportive of him and even encourage him to find a partner to spend his life with. I wish all fans were like that. The sad part was Hu Ge’s late mom did not like his girlfriends. I hope he finds someone his father likes as his mom has passed away. I totally agree that celebrities do so many unpredictable things that nothing shocks me anymore. However, I hope Hu Ge will not as I would be disappointed too. Celebrities are like politicians since they constantly lie through their teeth. Wu Chun is pretty much gone as a celebrity so must try to stay in the limelight by milking his private life for all it is worth. It feels like he is milking it like the media is milking the Coronavirus. Once again, how shameful and pathetic!
  • Yeah, once someone uses the ugly, fat, or parents card, it's over. You're just as dumb as the person you're calling dumb.
  • Haha, he lied a second time about his marriage?! And now, debuting her in a new show? This guy is something else, all together. Is that the ONLY argument against angry fans towards celebrities being public compulsive liars? Okay, then what do you say to male fans who are angry for his web of lies? Or married fans who just genuinely support him but don't condone lying? When someone lies about something this big, it says a lot about their character. I wouldn't choose to support someone who has to hide their wife and kids for the sake of fame and fortune for decades now. Sure, sure. We all have different opinions but let the fans be angry. What's wrong with that? They're entitled to express their frustration at liars, too, you know, be it celebrities or not. Why do people have to make fans look like they're the ones in the wrong for being disappointed in lying celebrities? Sure, sure. It's his private life, but it's a joke when each time his secrets are revealed, he comes out with a new show to display that privacy he so protected and threatened to sue people for infringing. Haha. What a clown this guy truly has been all along. The only celebrity I'm a fan of is Hu Ge. I'm already married to the love of my life and have kids. I've never dreamed of marrying him. I don't even like him in a romantic way. Haha. But I'd be disappointed if he ever lied about issues like this. Why?! Because Hu Ge is so wise and unpretentious all along that it'd be pretty shocking if that ever happened. But nothing surprises me anymore. Celebrities are even more wack than commoners. Haha.
  • @lynn90 I agree, she seems very sweet and actually down to earth. And I also agree the roles she’s getting is pretty bad. But what can you do, when most of the good roles would go to Yang Mi because she has better fans base and her rating performance has always been more solid (it’s a management/business call). So DD will always be second to Yang Mi, and when you are in that boat, you are better off elsewhere. Tbqh, jaywalk don’t seem to able to manage its artist well? Apart from Yang Mi and DD, I don’t see other explosive stars
  • @lynn90 I agree, she's very hardworking and a great person in real life. Most of the criticism is from haters, I feel she is quite good for her age, but Jaywalk picks many scripts for her that have a similar kind of character. She needs more variety to shut the haters up
  • Maybe she's an average actress because she doesn't like the roles her management gives her? I thought she was good in the drama with Rain, Tang Yan, and Luo Jin as supporting then of course, I adore her as Feng Jiu in both dramas. I really like Dilraba. She's so grounded, sweet, hardworking, and genuine. Although, there are younger and better actresses, but they have an air of arrogance, not quite like Dilraba.
  • The boy is cute but he needs more than looks to make it. His acting is still so stiff.
  • @lynn90 Completely agree. Reba and Vengo are perfect for the roles of Feng Jiu and Dong Hua. There's lots of subtle expressions for DH's role, and for FJ it's easy to go over-cute or annoying if they don't handle the character well. Their acting has actually improved a lot. But the scriptwriter added too much filler and unnecessary parts for the 2nd 3rd 4th leads, making it a lot less interesting. I just fast forward the parts that don't have Reba or Vengo. If they followed the timeline in the book, they may have better ratings/reviews. But going in chronological order was probably meant to not confuse people who haven't read the book. Most of the bad ratings are probably from people who haven't read the book and assume Pillowbook is a direct sequel to Eternal Love, so they're confused why the story is different. Pillowbook should be treated as an entirely new drama, then people won't get confused. Now that the mortal realm arc is done, it should get a lot more interesting, can't wait for the new episodes!
  • I blame it on the execution of the drama. It's slow and boring. The director is known to be horrible anyway. If done right, the drama could've been amazing. However, characters wise, I prefer Feng Jiu over Bai Qian any day. Feng Jiu is a good cook, knows how to fight, skilled in weaponry, goes after what she wants. That's a strong woman who happens to be madly in love, which I find nothing wrong with. Although, Dilraba isn't a strong actress but she's perfect for the role. She doesn't overdo the cuteness and it doesn't come out cringey. The way her innocence, sincerity, and profound love towards Dong Hua gushes out is touching. Vengo isn't a strong actor either but when they both come together, they have good chemistry and that's what drives the drama. The script isn't too bad. I've seen worse. There are some lines that were memorable and sweet. If they had capped it at 40 episodes earlier, there wouldn't be so much filler nonsense and the story would flow quicker and smoother. I'm not impressed but it's a decent enough drama to follow every week.
