• Yang Zi sure is busy... It's just one drama after another after another.....
  • @minhee Actually, I really like her in the On Lie Game series. I don't like Mat Yeung but I find the series watchable due to her and the other support casts. At least I didn't give up after the 1 episode.
  • I like her outlook, positivity, and confidence as an actress. While I don't think she's great enough yet to carry an engaging drama on her own, I hope she'll continue experimenting and improving.
  • Yes! Another crime drama from Vincent. I know Vincent's been in very similar dramas but he shines in these roles. His action scenes are a joy to watch. And I love how his characters have emotional depth. Thoroughly enjoyed Legal Mavericks and The Man Who Kills Trouble. Hopefully his upcoming dramas will be even better!
  • Wha-what? "It is my responsibility to teach her?" That does not sound right AT ALL. If my SO said that about me, I would not tolerate that type of patronage, period.
  • She has big eyes and a wide smile which contributes to her youthful looks. I thought she looked really compatible pairing up with Pierre Ngo and playing Wayne Lai's younger sister in King Maker. She just has that 'younger sister' type of look lol. Not young enough to play a fish-out-of-water role but too young to play a mother figure. I'm not expert but I don't think 3 face masks a day is good? Most brands recommend once per week. Too much would over-moisturize your skin and cause extra sebum production.
  • This isn't 熊梓淇's first period drama??? He was in Men with Swords 1 and 2.
  • She's not the prettiest but she definitely stands out from other actresses in terms of looks. I'd take actresses with unique appearances than those with the cookie-cutter wavy long hair swept behind one ear, unusually large bubbly eyes, thin straight nose, and fake perky lips any day. I also think she's very sexy but in a classy way. Her body looks very good on-screen. She knows how to accentuate it well.
  • Congratulations! I love Tavia's smile in the picture. This couple is so genuine. Sending wishes for a happy mother and baby!
  • Grace has a very unique personality -- strong, fierce, knows what she wants but also very attractive and sexy. Not to mention a good actress. Hope she gets more roles. I always enjoy the roles she takes on.
  • I don't understand the hate for the author or fanfiction. Most fanfiction writers are anonymous and post their works with disclaimers and tags on sites for FANS. It's a work of fiction. We shouldn't be censoring creative works. The overreaction to something that can't affect reality is what caused this mess in the first place. If people didn't like the content, they could've just moved on and Xiao Zhan wouldn't have to suffer from his crazy fans' overprotectiveness. Everything would've been fine if people didn't turn something so harmless into an actual problem. If you put yourself in the limelight then you know there WILL be fanfictions about you, especially idols. Have y'all glanced at BTS fanfiction? Man, possibly anything has been written about those boys. I'm sure Xiao Zhan didn't mind a piece of harmless fanfiction. Nobody's gonna take it seriously and tarnish his image with it, going around announcing that Xiao Zhan is actually a cross-dressing sex worker. But now it's become an actual problem because obsessive overthinkers made it out to be. And people are still attacking the writer? It's the crowd mentality. It's easy to pinpoint one single person as the cause rather than a group of people (ironically this is how the protagonist of The Untamed met his demise). I guess Xiao Zhan is experiencing a very familiar conflict to the character he portrayed, huh. Poor Xiao Zhan. I hope he gets through this. As a non-Chinese fan, my only contribution is to continue to watch his works. Good luck.
  • @minhee Moreover, the fanfiction only exists in its own place. If the author and fans of the fanfiction posted in where Xiao Zhan can reach to such as his super topic on weibo or they tagged his name to the fanfiction, it would be a different story. However, no, they didn't. The author and her fans know well what is the restriction and they stayed in their house. It was Xiao Zhan's fans who were crazy enough to read and report it at its house. So all the troubles were started by his fans (can't say it is antifan trying to act as fan to harm him because it started with a fans with yellow mark and more than 1 mil followers in his super topic - the Chinese call people like that Big Fan). Moreover, in China, the Big Fans always have the relationship with the studio and the artist. Therefore, Xiao Zhan and his studio surely know about the action of the Big Fan and in fact, secretly agree with that action. The antifans showed evident that the hotsearch about this fanwar has been deleted and it means the studio has a hand in it (because only studio with connections and money can purchase the termination of a hotsearch). However, the apology of his studio wasn't clear enough and Xiao Zhan keeps silent since then. It was why he is hated even more by the non-fans and the netizens. I think he should stand out to solve the case. Keeping silent as so is selfish, even to his fans or to AO3 fans. Nobody say that he can control all of his fans, but at least, he should try to stop them to behave crazily. Now, when the damage is there, he should at least sincerely apologize in person (not via his studio).
  • @alluka I agree. I do not see how fanfiction is ever going too far. Fanfiction has existed for the longest time. It brings out people's fantasies. And that's what they are -- fans' fantasies of celebrities or existing works. I think it's a major disrespect for writers to say that they are just using a celebrity's fame to bring attention to their work. It is in fact the opposite. It is because they are fans to begin with, it brings out a passion in them to pen fantasies out from their own minds about that particular person/subject in wish they'd wish to share with people that have the same curiosity or interests as them. If people are not into it, simply skip and move on. If anyone were to get offended by fanworks, then it should be the person being written about themselves. Real life celebrities, fictional characters, heck, even internet personalities/Youtubers have had very explicit fanfictions written about them. And they all take it lightheartedly as they understand what it really is -- a fantasy that'll never happen. And fanfictions can get really, really weird, but it will never affect reality. If Xiao Zhan himself wasn't offended by the work, then it's his fans overrreactions. Likewise, if people like him to begin with, they're not going to change their opinions because of some fanworks that gender-bended him. If anyone dislikes him, they will not be looking at stuff made by his fans to begin with. Fanfiction and fan MVs are not powerful enough to tarnish an artist's ' image.
  • Everything looks great above the waist from the hair to the makeup and shoulder cut-outs. Below the waist is trashy.
  • Bai Yu fits very well with dramas in this time period. Haven't seen the show but the sets and color palettes are very reminiscent of 镇魂.
  • That doesn't look the least bit attractive... nor healthy. The shorts are unflattering but even when she wears a dress it doesn't look good either. What I call attractive legs would be Miley Cyrus's, slim and toned. There's actual meat and muscle on them. Yang Mi looks like she's anorexic... I don't get this beauty standard in China.
  • Her response was very kind and appropriate. I hope reporters leave her alone. She is an elderly woman and shouldn't be bothered because of other people's mistakes. Wish the best for the Ma family. Glad to hear Kenneth is doing fine.
  • They need a better backdrop lol
  • I don't understand this new fad either. On-screen couples with huge height differences are just attempts to make the girl look "cuter" and the guy look "cooler." I don't see anything adorable about it. If anything, it looks so forced and awkward.
  • @littlefish Do you mean when she dated Hans Zhang? Not sure if it was scandalous, but that's the only c-actor I know she dated (I don't really follow her news). But yes @minhee, she's quite unliked, and not popular enough. I remember hearing a lot of hate when her drama with Lu Han was being broadcasted and her telling her fellow actors of the pressure she was getting from Netzens when she was on Up Idol. I just took a look at Weibo and if you count followers of the younger actresses on the list NaZha's is quite low: Yang Zi 44 Mill Na Zha 16 Mill Liu Shi Shi 31 Mill Dilraba 626 Mill Liu Yi Fei 64 Mill Shen Yue 10 Mill
