• It was a pretty good show. I enjoyed it even though I was very disappointed that Joyce was reduced to a side character. Chan Sam Yuen was my favorite character in the previous installments and I was very invested in her storyline. But I guess they didn’t have much confidence with Joyce headlining the series, so they decided to focus on all new characters, and her snowboarding accident further cut her scenes. But I hate the come home love excuse. Joyce is barely in the sitcom these days. Her storyline is nowhere near as prominent as it used to be. So I highly doubt it would’ve been a problem to fit Armed Reaction in her schedule if the producer truly wanted her in more scenes
  • @piper ya Na Ying is just a participant, not the judge. There wasn't any tension between Joey and Cecilia at all, they greeted each other and talked like normal people. I think the whole article mixed up the participants. They might mean Na Ying and Cecilia may have some tension since Na Ying is Faye Wong's BFF and might not choose Cecilia into her group since Cecilia hasn't done well in any performances. Can't blame Na Ying for not wanting her to be honest.
  • Na Ying is a contestant on the show, not a judge. And there was no so called “tension”. The ladies get along just fine. Joey and Cecilia weren’t awkward with each other at all either. I agree that Cecilia’s performances were pretty bad but she’s trying and I appreciate the fact that she doesn’t have a diva attitude like some other contestants on the show
  • No I’m not jealous lmao. I watched the show and in my opinion, Myolie did not improve at all. I would even say she had better days when she was at TVB. In most of her performances, her acting was over the top. It was only in the last short film that she was somewhat decent. So I was appalled when the judges praised her. Several of the other older actresses who participated on the show were way better. But, I had a feeling she would win the moment she appeared in episode 1. Totally rigged. If it hadn’t been for the in house “audience” votes, she wouldn’t have won. She ranked like 10th in online votes?
  • So he supposedly decided to get a divorce in march and yet when reporters asked him about his wife’s pregnancy in this article from last month he still acted like he was eager to build a family with her? I’m so glad they caught him on video https://www.jaynestars.com/news/is-jackson-lai-going-to-be-a-dad/
  • I like the teaser photos, very different from his usual boyish image. I also find him to be a decent singer, but this a terrible comeback song. His mandarin is embarrassing.
  • @elizabeth he's doing alright. Kinda cute but like a child for the most part since he's been trapped in his room for so long.
  • I probably would have given up on the show if I had anything better to watch. The first 10-11 episodes were pretty cringeworthy for the most part. But I do like the characters, especially C-Kwan. It's very different from his usual roles. And the story is actually moving along this week. The love story is getting my interest and now that the vampires are roaming the city, the upcoming episodes should be a little more exciting. If only it didn't take so long to get here though! I really think the vampire hunting in the earlier episodes were pretty unnecessary and the wait for shifu to pass was a bore, since we all knew it was going to happen. They could have cut down on five episodes at least!
  • @peachyogurt I think so too! The first 10 episodes were pretty meh and a waste of time imo, but the story is finally picking up! And I'm liking it. Definitely looking forward to what happens next! But this is a problem with most tvb series. Nothing really happens until they reach episode 10 or so.
  • I'm actually excited for these series. The only ones I'm not interested in are 來自喵喵星的妳 and 哪吒與楊戩. So I'll probably be skipping those. As for Dinner At 8 I really wish they'd drop the Come Home Love title. I'm a fan of the sitcom, but this a new show and it's time to move on.
  • I really enjoyed his drama despite the length. The first 10 episodes were a little slow, but after that you get pretty invested with the characters. The really made me feel for Wu Mei Niang, even though I personally would've written her as a more cunning person. She was way too nice in this version. I also wished they could've focused more on the later half of her life when she was in rule. But of course much of this drama distorted history, so I shouldn't expect much. Ultimately though it was an enjoyable watch, as long as you can see beyond the flaws.
