• @jcc10 yeah I just don't get it. I mean, it's obvious everyone already knew about the state of their relationship. They aren't talking about or to each other. If they are afraid that Vincent's reputation will be tarnished, right now with him not talking to his wife or daughter, is not helping with his image too. Also, they aren't doing any appearance or event together so there are no monetary value in keeping this weird relationship.
  • @coralie They gotta learn from Moses on how to talk about the wife in public lol Kevin and Ruco sounds like they are living in the 1940s.
  • @hetieshou true that. But a terrible cast could also bring a whole series down, no matter how good the plot is. TVB is obviously banking on Linda's fanbase tuning into her series just to watch her, regardless of the series' plot.
  • @megamiaow ugh yeah that is such a bad butt padding. She should fire her stylist. You can literally find butt pads in any lingerie shops, it's no secret and nothing to be ashamed of. A lot of Asian (Korean and Japanese) IG fashion influencers wear them. With her money, she should be able to get some good ones, not one that looked like a chair pillow.
  • @pompidur oh pls do not have her sing. if it's between singing and acting, pls continue acting then.
  • @pompidur There is much more to any series rather than just the cast. It is sad if anyone watches a series just for the cast only.
  • They keep going on and on about the HK$3mill paycheck. I hope it's really worth it. I seriously don't get the hype with Linda, her acting is mediocre and don't even start with her 'singing'. At least TVB is smart enough to include other popular actors/actresses to cover all bases. Kevin's, Kenneth's, Him's and Catherine's fans will definitely help the ratings too.
  • Wonder who's gonna replace Ali. Roxanne?
  • @renren I don't think this kind of control only exist in Asian entertainment industry. It happened in entertainment industry all over the world, even in US where everyone thinks they have freedom. Just look at the Harvey Weinsten case, the pedophile cases in Hollywood, these are all just a different way to control an artist. And sometimes that is the price they have to pay to get that fame and success. Even Taylor Swift was not allowed to voice her political opinion when she was with her old management. It's not right, but that's how f***ed up the entertainment industry is. All these images the celebs have to uphold depending on where they live.
  • @littlefish Or it could be Japanese name? A lot of Japanese men names start with Y
  • @cutie777 I think it's just saying since Nancy will be the very first few signing the new contract, she will get the new clause added, not implying she had/will have scandals. I wonder how will TVB approach those who had signed 10 years contracts without that new clause? Will there be future negotiations to add in the clause?
  • For a sec there, I thought it was Raymond Lam looking younger I don't mind Gloria, as a supporting actress, not so sure if she can carry a whole series as a lead though..hopefully she has good chemistry with Shaun. So far, I like most of Shaun's series except for that stuntman one with Rebecca Zhu Also, yes to intermittent fasting, it really works to get rid of that extra weight.
  • I love their relationship and their little family. Aimee seems to br a very hands-on mom and their kids are so adorable and sweet.
  • @pompidur Kathy and Leon first collaborated in Cherished Moments as a married couple. It's a time travel drama. Rumours were both fell in love during that drama and Leon was pursuing Kathy when she was still married to Ray back then. After that they collaborated in Breaking Point again and that escalated the rumours as both Ray and Kathy broke up during that time. Leon has explained before in his famous metaphor that "people just assume when both a man and woman sits together to chat at a coffee shop and when the woman and her boyfriend has an argument with her boyfriend and breaks up, the man sitting with her would be blamed as the 3rd party". And yeah Kathy was supposed to be the lead in Legendary Ranger because they were considered the golden onscreen couple at that time but unfortunately things didn't turn out. I love their pairing. Many of Leon's fans accepted Michelle better than Kathy just because she was married to Ray before. But in real life, it turns out Michelle has worse record compared to Kathy. She was the home wrecker material not Kathy. Lol But the one got hit real hard by Leon's fans was Shu Qi. After being with him for years, she was never accepted by Leon's fans and Leon's dad. So they had to break up.
  • @pompidur Oh ok, 40 eps is not too bad. I thought it was 60 eps or more. Deric is good at playing villain roles. Yes, I was watching some old 80s series and saw Wayne,Frankie ams many other green leaf actors when they were still playing extras and minor characters. I am more of an 80s child but love the 90s as those were my teenage years. Boy, I feel so old...
  • Combination of Linda Chung & Priscilla Wong? Heh. Looking at her pics above, not sure if she looks like any of them. But that other girl, Amber looks super cute in that pic, and yeah can see a slight resemblance to Ada Choi.
  • @pompidur Agreed that Angela Yeung (who played Leon’s sister in TBP) was a good actress — she had both the looks and the talent...too bad her acting career was so short-lived. If I remember correctly, I think TBP was her second to last series....she retired from the industry 1-2 years later. Yea, that’s what I heard too about the ending, which is too bad because I didn’t like the ending and knowing it could’ve been done differently but wasn’t is frustrating.
  • @llwy12 ah, interesting. I didn't know about the Leon-Kathy thing until recently..if only we have internet back then lol I watched Cherished Moments too back then. I think Leon had really great chemistry with Kathy, which really helped with the Breaking Point popularity. Their acting I reckon were meh there. I actually thought the girl who acted as Leon's sister was really good. Never seen her before or after TBP. Oh I never liked LR back then and after re-watching it, still didn't like it. Also, about TBP, I read that they were supposed to film an ending in Taiwan, but never really gotten to it, because of conflicting schedules?
  • @hetieshou It's 40 episodes I think. Can be draggy at times, especially the first half. It gets interesting when Deric turns into a villain. There were a lot of kelefes from familiar faces, Wayne Lai, Gordon Lam etc. And Power Chan was great as Leon's 'brother'. Also, I love the nostalgic feelings of those 90s Cantopop in that series
