• @sam01 What you described is what everyone does no matter which industry they are in. When ordinary folks gets a better paying job, they'll leave for that high paying job and earn the higher bucks and live a better lifestyle. They won't be satisfied going back to a low paying job. That's everyone, not just showbiz.
  • @scre Bobby never depend on her wife's family for financial support. He earns big bucks from China and HK in all these years.
  • @mike @scre That's what I've said earlier. They joined Tvb in order to gain fame and popularity. Soon afterward, they will leave tvb and go Mainland china to dig more golds and would only return to Tvb occasionally to film a per series contract. Do you really think celebrites will retire from the showbizz and take a low paying jobs and be satisfied and content living a frgual life like the ordinary folks? They all hopes to earn big bucks and live a luxurious lifestyle.
  • @sam01 Saw many interviews from tvb green leaves and they all say people join TVB and hope to leave as soon as they can. They only join TVB not because of the money but for the fame. After they get the fame, they will leave and make more money elsewhere. Most never get to leave.
  • @sam01 I was suprised that kevin came back to tvb considering he was focusing his career on the film industry. As for bobby I think he just film tvb series for fun, not really for money since his wife family is quite rich.
  • @jujuxoxo Linda isn't the only artist who is chasing after money and fame. The same standard applies to all celebrites such as Ron, Bosco, Kevin cheng Bobby au, Charmines sheh. They're all chasing after the fame and fortune and attention the entertainment industry brings them. After they became famous and popular at Tvb. They leave Tvb to go to Mainland to dig more golds and would only return to Tvb to film a per series contract. Do you think celebrites will retire from the showbizz and take a low paying jobs and be satisfied and content living a frgual life like the ordinary citzens? They all hopes to earn big bucks and live a luxurious lifestyle. It’s because they’re materialistic, and they’re putting the added pressure on themselves to consume fancy cars, mansions, and a variety of luxury material possessions that they actually don’t need. For these people, it isn’t enough to have $1 million; they want $4 million, and those individuals with $4 million want $10 million and so forth. They have so much, yet it’s not enough because lifestyles expectations increase as their net worths soar
  • @hetieshou @tungamy What are those brown patches on his leg? Is it Birthmarks or something else?
  • @m0m0 @nomad822 What are those brown patches on his leg? Is it Birthmarks or something else?
  • @sam01 Thank you for the link! Comparing the video with the article, I'm starting to feel like this article is only taking pieces and creating a jigsaw puzzle. #1 Even if the video may not be the full version, they never stated that these are the "3 Golden Criteria." When you say "golden," it's supposed to sound permanent or strong standards, but the interviewer only asked his type and the article didn't exactly put all the points in either. #2 Furthermore, that picture was 2 years ago. I found it in his IG. I'm starting to get suspicious. I mean, if this article was a full translation on a video, shouldn't the picture be his most recent or at least the ones in the interview? #3 Also, I was watching this show called 各位游客请注意 and in one of the episodes, he states that he would rather his girlfriend call and scold him as to why he disappeared for 3 days than to receive multiple texts. Therefore, the second golden criterion appears to be incorrect because he is willing to reason, but does not want to file a report. #4 As for the third criteria, in one of the interviews of Tiger's Talk, he needed his gf to be forgiving as his work is related to filming intimate scenes with actresses. Without forgiveness, the relationship won't last. Ron and Bosco even joked they should show them a video (obstacle) of all their intimate scenes to give their gf a heads up of what they were in for. Nevertheless, despite that there were multiple inadequacies throughout the article, prioritizing friends over girlfriend is an ultimate no-no and I repeat @hetieshou 's words, "stay single for now until he changes." LOL
  • @sam01 Hmm ok in the interview, he didnt really specify that they were must have criterias but he did expand on the prioritising friends over girlfriend, which is still lame. The difference for him apparently is that at home (with girlfriend) he can sit there all day and not say anything but when out with friends he will chat nonstop. So he has more fun with friends, but the important things in life is with your other half, and theyre the ones that have to deal with your crap all the time not your friends.
  • @megamiaow @mi520 @hetieshou Here is the actual interview with bosco. He did mention that he's someone who will prioritizie his friends over a girlfriend. Not sure if this video is the full version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS9DgFPGNfU
  • @sam01 If he is like that for real then maybe he should stay single unless he changes. Look at Aaron Kwok, I never thought he would marry but he did, even though it was a bit late. But then again, not everyone has to marry and have kids. People can marry, divorce,etc,.. Many celebrities or even regular people get married several times in their lives.
  • @sam01 No, I am not a fan of his but I learned to look deeper into things instead of just taking things at face value. I apply that to people I know personally too, not just entertainers because no one knows except for them. Even if I was a fan of Bosco, I am not bias to think he is a perfect angel. Myolie isn’t perfect either since no one is perfect. Everyone makes it seem like Bosco is some evil devil while Myolie is some sweet angel. Who truly knows?
  • @gnomageddon @bennyjr Revealing his three golden criteria when seeking a girlfriend: First she must be a forgiving person who gives him alot of freedoom. Second, she cannot even ask or question about his whereabouts. He also stated that he’s someone who would care and prioritize his friends over a girlfriend. Based on the interview with Bosco, it sounds like he isn’t the type of man who values commitment or interested in having a serious relationship.
  • @jesspepperwang @hetieshou Bosco must be your die hard fan? You sound very protective toward him. How can you be so certain that he had never cheated in a relationship? It happens a lot in the entertainment industry, there are countless famous people and celebrities who had cheated on their partner, some were lucky enough not to get caught red handed by paparazzi. Revealing his three golden criteria when seeking a girlfriend: First she must be a forgiving person who gives him alot of freedoom. Second, she cannot even ask or question about his whereabouts. He also stated that he's someone who would care and prioritize his friends over a girlfriend. Based on the interview with Bosco, it sounds like he isn't the type of man who values commitment or interested in having a serious relationship.
  • @bubbles23 @coralie People seem to have forgotten it all now. This isn't his first scandal. A few years ago, Huge wong was caught by the paparazzi dating a married women. Despite all this TVB still give him chances again and again. https://www.jaynestars.com/news/hugo-wong-attracted-to-wide-variety-of-women/. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l773LvZOglA
  • @sam01 @hetieshou @llwy12 idk if Lau Kong is currently struggling financially. He said he acts because it's his passion. During an interview, he said when he was young, he had to work many jobs at once while working at TVB because he had to support his son's out of country college tuition.
  • @sam01 @hetieshou Actually, this interview isn’t complete...they took part of what he said in his Mingpao interview and only reported on the most sensational part. If you read/watch his other interview, he made it clear it’s not because of money....yes, TVB did cut his pay and reduced his hours, but that doesn’t mean he is struggling financially. He’s actually doing fine financially, it’s just TVB’s actions crossed his bottom line and he felt disrespected, so he left. This is what many of the veteran artists have talked about with TVB — at the end of the day, it’s not about the money per se, rather it’s about the lack of dignity and respect. I mentioned in the other thread about another long time green leaf artist, Lau Kwai Fong, who had the same thing done to her (except her pay was cut by 95% instead of half). TVB has been doing the same thing to almost all the green leaf artists, because to them, the younger artists who are more promotable are obviously more important. They are a crap company that has gotten progressively worse over the years. Shame on them for treating veteran artists this way!
  • @sam01 Very good point and I was wondering the same thing. At his age, many are already retired or moved on to better pastures as who wants to stay with a shady company like TVB unless they had no other choice. Even though tvb’s salary is low, many are able to make money through advertisements and stuff. I also wonder if he has any children that help him out? I feel bad for him if he is so old but yet does not have financial stability and had to rely on TVB to make ends meet. So sad that many artists are struggling financially like this. I remember reading about a Yuen Wah who worked so hard but made very little money even though he acted in mainland which pays better. Maybe they did not know how to save and invest?
  • @hetieshou @luye There are many other veteran artists around the same age as him, have already retired from the entertainment industry years ago. I never would have thought Lau Kong are still struggling financially and relying on TVB salary for a living. At his age I thought he would have saved enough money for retirement.
