• Not my aesthetic, but hey, as long as it makes her happy! As a minimalist, all that clutter would give me major anxiety.
  • To echo some of the previous users, I, too, wouldn't mind seeing Vincent take home another win, though I'm not particular thrilled about any of the main contenders this year. God forbid Benjamin gets crowned... Praying that by some miracle, Carlos will end up with the award, and this moment will go down as one of TVB's least expected, most deserving wins in history, lol.
  • @cutie777 You are thinking about Gen-Y Cops, which is the sequel. Both were equally terrible films BTW, and only garnered a lot of attention due to the star-studded cast.
  • @sugarcane then explain the photo of her split trying to deny her pregnancy lol? Superstition is only before the first trimester is over, anything beyond that is ridiculous?
  • @anoninhk because sports are for boys, obviously! lol, Grace's excitability to speak often renders her incapable of thinking beforehand. One of those people who lack internal contemplation due to their gregarious personality. That, or she's just not the brightest crayon in the box.
  • Having major Yanxi Palace withdrawals from watching the trailer! haha Aside from the similar cast, there are lots of parallel themes, such as the love-hate relationship, a love triangle, as well as a strong female protagonist and her struggle between love and vengeance. Despite the redundancy, I'm looking forward to this. Also, the cinematography is beautiful! Really digging the color palette.
  • @coralie Yes, emotions are accentuated on screen, which requires actors to be *slightly* more stylized and flamboyant in their expressions, whilst still maintaining a degree of subtlety (unless you're in theater). It's a very delicate balance that few can master, and is generally what distinguishes a good actor from a great one.
  • @littlefish In regards to ZLY and FSF, they could just be the highly superstitious type who don't want to reveal/jinx anything until the baby is safely born. Just my speculation, considering how it's pretty much an open secret that they had conceived prior to marriage. Seems silly to be hiding it for that reason, but I could be wrong. Anyway, no doubt that Ruco & Phoebe's kid is going to be a looker, regardless of the gender. Congrats to them!!
  • Glad to know that TVB still has it in them to churn out a decent drama, but unfortunately won't be watching this due to the presence of Joe Ma. That public sexual assault incident involving him, Benny, and Rose Chan left such a bad taste in my mouth, that I refuse to support any of his work (though I never liked him much to begin with). Any maybe I'm biased, but he looks so smug and garish in the above photos.
  • @sugarcane I agree with you on so many levels! Yea, I dislike Ariana Grande as well for different reasons, but she can sing well (I would say like Mariah Carey of this generation, in a sense that she can really belt out those notes like how the young Mariah did, she will not come close to the awesomeness that was Mariah carey’s Prime but she’s for this generation!) and her songs are catchy and great to listen to sometimes (not all of them but enough) Kris, from the few songs I heard, it should his singing is so bad that even auto tune can’t fix it! He doesn’t even look great in my eyes, but hey, the young generation loves that style and want to make a talentless dude rich, what can we say >_>?
  • @sugarcane The ICAC series are actually co-collaborations with the government and majority of them are based on real life cases, so script and plot-wise, there really isn't a whole lot that TVB can do. I doubt that TVB even considers these ICAC series as their own series, as most of the time, the directors / producers involved are outsiders (usually from the HK movie world) and the artists who participate may not necessarily be from TVB. But overall, with TVB's own series though, I definitely agree that they need to put more effort into the script and not just rely on star-power...but again, doubt anything is going to change....
  • @sugarcane very true. They do look like each other. I hope she is happier now wherever she is. RIP beautiful Yammie ❤️❤️❤️
  • @sugarcane Yes I thought that I was the only one to think that. Yammie also looks like Annie Yi too. They are all beautiful.
  • Happy for him, but it's beyond me how these artists can muster the brainpower to memorize their lines running on so little sleep. I haven't watched the previous two ICACI installments (since they seem to be getting progressively worse), but will likely tune in to this upcoming one, if only for Carlos, Joyce, and Kent. Let's hope TVB actually puts some effort into the script and plot for this one, rather than simply relying on star-power to reel in the viewers. Hey, one can dream...
  • It hasn't been very long since they've separated, so whatever issue they had which led to the breakup isn't likely to have absolved. Not to mention, Raymond seems pretty content with his current relationship.
  • @sugarcane yes you are right. Gao Yuan Yuan is indeed gorgeous and there is a slight resemblance. Gao Yuan Yuan has a more mature look, but always feminine and graceful. Whereas, maybe i am basing on the picture, Yammie has a very sweet, yet beautiful appearance.
  • Can't remember the last time TVB filmed a good, heartfelt brotherhood drama... Pretty sure The Conqueror's Story was the last one that actually tugged at my heartstrings in that regard, and that was well over a decade ago, lol.
  • Gosh, I really don't understand all the hype around this guy. Tried listening to one of his more popular hits recently, and couldn't even get through the entire song. Auto-tune galore. At least Ariana (whom I also dislike for other reasons) can actually sing. Then again, I can't see the appeal of the ever so popular BTS crew either, so maybe I'm the weird one...
  • @dramafan Appearance-wise, I find that there's a striking resemblance between Yammie and Gao Yuan Yuan (who also seems to be all natural). She was, indeed, the pinnacle of beauty and talent, and I believe much of the public will remember her as such. RIP, Yammie.
  • @coralie Thank you for the links. Very interesting findings... I'll definitely take my time to peruse these articles. I've always been of the belief that the basis of homosexuality has more of a biological component than an environmental one (after all, there are many individuals who identify themselves as homosexual with largely normal upbringings). I do theorize, however, that their environment has the potential to either offset or trigger the expression. Good to know there are some scientific evidence to potentially support this.
