@bizzybody it seems that no matter how much of a goddess a woman is, there’s some scuzzy guy who’s ready to cheat on her. Another example not on this list — Brigitte Lin and her ugly but mega rich husband.

Since Patrick has been in my profile pic for over a year, I have to say congrats and I'm so happy to see him making such a splash. He and Fandy Fan have proved that acting in a BL (boy love) series is no longer a career ender or a dead end, but a promising start.

Parasite vibes!
-
What a misleading headline! It should be "More BL Novels To Be Adapted to Screen ... but not as BL." Ridiculous mainland censorship. Fortunately for BL fans, we have quality BL series from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, etc.
-
The last paragraph is incorrect. Andy held many shows of the concert series in December 2018. He did get the flu and had to cancel/reschedule the few last dates, but not the whole series.

tshwgal commented on “The White Storm 2” Selected to Represent HK in Oscars’ International Feature Film CategoryEither there's a mistranslation in this article or all the info is not included. What is the reason for Still Human's "disqualification"? Or is it supposed to just say the film studio is disappointed it was not selected? And I agree, White Storm 2 being submitted is ridiculous.

@tshwgal I think he just happened to pass through there. The diaper story is a ruse, but he wasn't there to support the protests. He just so happened to be there.
-
Let's say we believe Aaron had to buy diapers himself b/c Sunday was the day off for his domestic helpers, and he couldn't get home delivery at short notice. Still -- near where he lives (the address was shown here on Jayne's when he registered his marriage) there are plenty of places to buy diapers, no need to drive into Causeway Bay. We are Jayne's detective squad! Anyway, protesters are claiming Aaron as one of them, with photos of him holding up one hand being interpreted as him saying "five demands." I can't believe he would risk his career in the Mainland or risk offending his wife and her family by supporting the protesters, but the whole thing is fishy.

I want to love this, and Chris Wu and Andy Bian are super handsome, but that Jake Hsu is way overacting in these trailers. Got my fingers crossed I won't feel the same way when I see the full episodes.

@tshwgal It is standard amongst artist who hold concerts in HK to add shows. They always project less, then end up adding 1-10 shows depending on the popularity of the singer. They do it to bring good luck or whatever they believe the myth is to be able to 'add' shows. So in this case, he predicted less, and added only ONE show.. but in his eyes, he is still 'adding' so bring good luck.
-
This started as a five-concert series, then another date was added. Promoters don't do that unless sales are really good. So I think it's a mistranslation that Ekin declared his love to Yoyo in front of "hundreds" of people. More like 10,000! Anyway, I'm going on Wednesday and will see how full it is.

True confession: I miss that person who always commented on stories about this couple. Spiced up the site a bit. :)

The whole show was depressing. Almost every song sounded like it was from the 1990s, not 2018. Others have said enough about Louis Koo, so I'll just add that earlier in the day a friend had told me "everyone" was voting for him in the hopes that he'd show up at the awards ceremony and sing. I thought surely she was kidding. And that's exactly what happened. Except that he only warbled a few notes. With the exception of Joey, none of the winners could sing live. I know, nerves/excitement/whatever, but they are professional singers. I did kind of like Endy Chow, whose facial expressions as he was singing made it clear he knew he was really bad, ha!

littlefish commented on Zanilia Zhao and William Feng’s “The Story of Minglan” Premieres Christmas Day@tshwgal lol, everyone was like: ZLY - the queen of rating, and I’m like more like Zhu Yi Long that gonna make this series have high rating xD
-
No, the title of this article should be "Zhu Yilong's 'The Story of Minglan' Premieres Christmas Day." :) Sorry, Yilong fan here. Looking forward to seeing him in this, though supposedly it's 78 episodes. Yikes. Also hoping it will be available with English subs.
