• @kinner So if your 12 yrs old .... hit the table furiously and questioned you, ‘Why can't I sleep with a grown man’ … and not long after, you agreed? Seriously, she's 12 ... still a child, and as a parent, isn't it your responsible to protect, not exploit your child? What kind of parents would give in when a child "hit the table furiously" and defy them?
  • I havent seen the movie nor do i care to, but my feelings on this matter is very strong. FIRST, the director is using the girl to make a name for herself, very sad. She could have hire someone of legal age for the role, but she insisted on a CHILD, pedophile would love to line up to see this. SECOND, the role of the parents, i can't believe they are defending their decisions and 'pimp' out their child. Sad that $$ blinds them. There is NOTHING artistic about a child in bed with a man. Here in the states, the director and the parents could face some legal actions for producing child porn
  • @snowy It's a guestimate at best, and a little digging, like a good journalist, you will be amazed at what can be dug up. Unless they put their properties under other people names
  • I don't know if the affair is true or not, but using $ to control your partner is not a good thing. Beside, if his heart strays once, he will stray again, and maybe next time, he will hook up with someone richer, and he's gone for good
  • I think she's using Ken to rebuild her image, after all, if Ken can forgive and forget, so should others. Calculating, manipulative, conniving b**ch!!! Ken deserves better!!! He should not spend a second on her and move on to someone who treats him well. He can use his free time any which ways he wants, but i hope it will not be with the B!
  • Politics is a dangerous game. As a public figure, no matter which side you support, you will receive backlash. Unless you can pick a side and weather the storm, don't let other sway you and stand firm on your believe, otherwise stay silent. Flip flopping makes it even worse.
  • "My dress received a lot of compliments" ... yes dear, compliments from horny men, and that alone make you proud. There is a fine line between trash and class, and this dress is anything but class. "It also left a good impression at Cannes" ... yes, can you see all the men gawking and drooling at a naked body, great impression you leave them with
  • A TRUE gentleman, i hope he can put her behind and move on to someone much deserving.
  • @winnie She did acted a bit tipsy. He seemed subdued, maybe a tad tipsy.
  • He blamed alcohol! What's her excuse? Was she also drunk? She has no excuse in my book, but i have a few names I can throw at her, but I would rather not. Kenneth deserves someone better and I hope he finds her.
  • Tasteless. People held a banquet and expect their guests to pitch in and help them pay for the lavish event? Wedding banquet is not an event for you to raise funds. You should consider yourself loved when people take time out of their busy life to attend, monetary gifts and money is a small token, the fact that they are their to share your happiest moment in itself is enough
  • @winnie Same here – I was never fond of her acting either and whether she improved or not remains to be seen (she hasn’t proven herself to me yet in terms of her acting). But one thing I do respect her for is the fact that she knew her acting was bad, but instead of whining about it or attributing it to audiences not liking her (like a few other actresses we know), she actually did something about it by going to Julliard and getting a degree in the discipline. For her to invest that time and energy (not to mention money of course) in pursuing higher education in the craft, it tells me she takes acting seriously and plans to make it a career. And the fact that she decided to branch out after Julliard rather than return to TVB (and put that education to waste in the process if she were to return), made me respect her even more. I’m not a fan of hers and probably never will be, but I’m genuinely happy for her and have no problem supporting her when it comes down to it….
  • Chinese media is blowing this up, as i am sure her role is a minor one. On another note, she was not a favorite of mine, i think her action skill is a bit weak, perhaps she improved, perhaps not, but making an appearance in a Hollywood production, large or small is an accomplishment and should be proud of. I wish her luck
  • @winnie Yeh I know what you mean. Some even thing sane surname means they previously were family many many generations ago but that it not true. We can look so far back and surnames evolve. I think it does not feel so bad if marry a cousin that you don’t grow up with and don’t get to see often. In different places in China, the culture might be slightly different. In some areas it might be that any cousins can marry,in some areas certain cousins can marry and then in some areas none. Since some research says there is slight increased risk, I wouldn’t try it. The risk doesn’t sound too big so if struggling to find a good partner then it can be considered....
  • @jimmyszeto Oh ... Maybe i wasn't making myself clear when i referenced surname. I meant to say the off springs from the brothers carry the same surname ... i guess that proves relations. Obviously, just because you share the same last name do not make you related. One of my college roommates was toying with the idea of dating her 1st cousin (his mom and her mom are sisters), alot of us, although Asian, but not Chinese were turn off by it, but she explained it's acceptable in chinese culture. I thought she was joking (pre-google and internet).
  • @winnie Having children with first cousin many researches say have increased chances of coming up with birth defects. Whether it is brother or sister, genetics will be similar. I don't think the surname is the most important. Maybe a stubborn Chinese will only think about surname when the grand scale of things is much more serious....
  • @jimmyszeto A chinese friends told me, it's not incest even if you married your first cousin, providing that the cousins are not children of brothers. For example, the children of two sisters, children of a brother and sister, but not children of two brothers ... because they would have the same surname. In her case, she told me if one of her sons wants to marry one of her sisters' children, it's ok, but it's not ok for him to get involve with his father's brother's children. I had just google .. and found this practice banned in 1981 ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cousin_marriage
  • One word ... CREEPY!!! It's sad that Ash Mayfair is so proud of exploiting a 12 year old and is riding on a 12 year old to make a name for herself. How disgusting!!! She could at least find an 18 or even 21 years old to portray, in addition to make up and lighting, it's not that hard. In the western part of the world (ie US), she would be in so much trouble. But in her neck of the woods, i guess she can use and abuse any child for her 5 minutes of fame. I am guessing the child mother was 'manipulated' and 'paid off' or blind to $$ to allow her child to be exposed to such grown up content. Afterall, Ms Mayfield was in tears to find this child, I bet she coughed up anything to get this child on board.
  • How could you say the headline "Yammie Lam Was Linked With 11 Men" was not disrespectful!?! For crying outloud, her death became public less than 2 days ago, no funeral arrangement was made, and you wanted to pay tribute by "'shedding the light" about the 'rumored men' in her life?!?! Let her rest ...
  • @winnie how strong is that trust when there's temptation everyday? you only need one moment of weakness in order to break any trust in place. compounded with distance and endless options, hell, I'd say cheating is easier than taking candy from babies. Instead of putting stock in trust, it's much better to reinforce it by "observing" him and letting her presence be known. If he knows he can't escape, he'll be resigned to his role.
