• That's what people usually also say about their third and then fourth marriage and so forth.........Look at Christy Chung who is on her 3rd or 4th marriage........The one following is always the one they feel they find their true love until the next one comes along.
  • In the entertainment industry and especially for actors, getting sculpted abs does nothing for your career prospects..........It does boosts self-confidence and self-ego when you take off your shirt and stare in the mirror, but other than that, it does not get you good roles or enhance your career..........Unless you plan to be a Chinese Rambo or Terminator.
  • @yuaida So what about men in the entertainment industry? Let's be fair here that at the end of the day we are all people and let's also not be misogynistic or make asses out ourselves for assuming...
  • @yuaida Yeh I didn’t think for a sec that it felt like Kelly was a surgeon in the series while Ali and Natalie portrayed their roles well. It’s important to be assertive and confident.
  • Time to move on Hawick...........Women who work in the entertainment industry are not good spouses.........When they are not famous, they have to sleep with whichever director that offers them an opportunity..........When they do become famous and makes big bucks, then they will dump their other half who may not share the same status...........Better to just find a mate outside the industry dude.
  • Actually, she probably looked better with a bit more weight as her body had much more curves before.........Not all women look better as a skinny person.........In this series, her portrayal of a surgeon was actually quite poor as she didn't look or act the role......Frankly, TVB must have been really desperate for new faces to give her this role, as she really demonstrated that she is still only a 2nd/3rd tier actress and cannot carry certain roles...........On the other hand, I think Ali did quite a good job portraying a doctor..........Just my opinion.
  • @yuaida there is nothing wrong in being a single mother. At least she made the choice to keep the baby and give it a chance to live!
  • @yuaida i don't see how becoming a single mom is going to make her a left over woman. she's got the looks and money to give her child a fulfilling life.
  • @yuaida a single mom would not be considered a stigma in more open-minded countries nor would she have any problems attracting a mate in the west.
  • Can see why Nic might be upset, as he probably has enough life experience to see that it is not a piece of cake to be a single mom..........While there are a lot of career-successful women out there who chose to be a single mom for whatever reasons, Jennifer definitely is not in that category.........She will unlikely make it big as an actress or model and will forever be in the shadows of her brother and parents............Now to be a single mom, she is probably screwed for life...........I mean, which decent rational-minded man out there would want to first even be linked to her and her dysfunctional family..........And now to top it off, to have to take care of her and some other man's kid...........Some women out there are in a suitable category or league to be a successful single mom, but Jennifer certainly is not in that category...........She is probably worse off than being a leftover woman now.
  • @yuaida Lol. Excatly my thought!
  • @yuaida should give her credits lo. Not everyone can be a successful gold-digger lol. And her hubby is not an ugly old fart some more. It takes skills and her looks to fish such a great fish. Both Cathy’s & Catherine’s (Prince William’s wife) parents invested in their daughters’ education to fish their princes.
  • I think a better title would be that Kathy Tsui was born to be a Gold-digger, and she succeeded because her mother trained her well.......Other than a successful gold-digger, highly doubt that she was capable at anything else, cause her acting sure was the pits.
  • @yuaida interesting. So what is consider wife material for you? Yes this is her 3rd marriage but that doesn't mean much. Both her ex hubby could the one with issues. And since she is the one who raised all their kids, I find that pretty admirable in my book.
  • @yuaida well, as an asian chick, i find white men in general look better*** (note the general part). given the same number of white men and asian men, the ratio of good-looking white men is orders of magnitudes higher than asian. of course there are some really good-looking asian boys too that are actually cuter but just speaking in general terms. i don't think these actresses are just marrying to look white, they are probably actually attracted to their spouses too.
  • @yuaida i think bernice is very white. if she had more ambition & started her career in the 'states, maybe things would've been different for her. i still don't consider fala very "white," but she has a western personality & can scrape by. she's also far more ambitious than bernice. eliza is not on par with her predecessors. @myxx agreed, but there are exceptions to the rule. angela tong married chin ka lok who doesn't speak a lick of english as far as i'm aware. there's also grace who married kevin; i doubt kevin cheng's english is that great, but he should be passable. jacqueline wong liked kenneth & andy, who as far as i know, aren't native English speakers, either? there's also cherrie ying and jordan chan.
  • @yuaida Maybe they prefer white guys anyway since they’ve grown up in english speaking countries. It would actually be more weird if they married an asian from hk/china that couldnt speak english properly!
  • She should probably work on her Cantonese more than the acting, cause her acting is unlikely going to improve......She just doesn't have the acting bug in her, and like other ABC's / CBC's, such as Bernice, Fala, Eliza and etc., they are just not "white" enough to break into the Hollywood scene, and you can hardly count Fala's little onscreen tv series as breaking into Hollywood..........That's kind of why these girls always end up marrying white guys, so to bump up their "whiteness" for the Western market.
  • Let's not forget this is Christy's 3rd marriage.......and usually, there is a reason that women like her marry so many times........Most men can probably bear with her as a gf, but then the honeymoon phase dies down soon, and she is definitely not wife material..........Not the type to really settle down with a man and attend to family and stuff, and especially at her age, being 12 years older than the hubby, she is probably too "ripe" to be a decent wife.........This won't be her last marriage nor will the next marriage after this one dies down...........Some women are just not good for being a wife, and Christy is definitely in that category.
  • @yuaida Marrying someone white is probably more circumstantial than selectively going for a white guy. She was in western country for longer so foreigners are more common than chinese men. Ive dated both chinese and british. Ive never thought of dating a british man as making me more "white".
