Pong Nan Returns with “Grace and Beauty” EP

Hong Kong singer-songwriter and producer, Pong Nan (藍奕邦), recently returned to the Cantopop music scene with his tenth musical release, the mini album Grace and Beauty <優與美>, which was released on November 29, 2013 by East Asia Music. The EP, which consists of five ballad tracks, also has a bonus DVD track that contains four music videos and sixteen live performances of Pong’s unplugged performances with Neway Music Live, which was held on August 9, 2013 at the Kowloonbay International Trade and Exhibition Center.

Pong began promoting his self-produced album in October 2012 with the release of the EP’s first lead single “Cheers for Stubbornness” <為執著乾杯>, which was an instant chart-topper, peaking at number one on Hong Kong’s 903 and TVB JSG charts. The single garnered various prestigious year-end awards, including three Best Original Song wins, one for the Metro Radio Hits Music Awards, one for the popularity-based Sina Music Awards, and another for China’s Music King Awards.

His second lead single “You’re London, I’m New York” <你倫敦. 我紐約>, which was released in early 2013, was also successful, having received a fair amount of radio airplay and topped the 903 and RTHK charts in Hong Kong.
