Ali Lee Signs Film Contract

In a major breakthrough for former TVB Best Actress Ali Lee (李佳芯), the 43-year-old has inked a three-film deal with the movie empire backed by businessman Kenny Wee (黃浩), with an investment of approximately HK$800 million!

Hopeful for End of Year Release

Officially marking her move into the big screen, the news sparked heated discussion, while production for her first film bro2keep <哥哥可以跟我打勾勾嗎> already began on January 22 in Taiwan, drawing widespread attention. The movie tells a story of a complicated marital relationship, with Ali Lee helming the female lead role, opposite French-Taiwanese actor Fabio Grangeon, who plays her husband.

To better immerse themselves in their roles, the two actors underwent intensive character discussions and physical training before filming in order to build chemistry and deliver an authentic on-screen spark. With the opening ceremony held, the movie is slated for a grand release in end 2026 as the launch title of New Asia Movie Co. Ltd.

Ali Lee Nominated for “Best New Performer”

Ali expressed surprise at her awards nomination for the film “Golden Boy” <金童>.

Appearing at a charity promotional event today was Ali’s onscreen partner Lai Lok-yi (黎諾懿), who expressed happiness for his old friend. “I’m really so happy for her. I hope my friends all get many different job opportunities, because everyone knows…our industry is going through quite a difficult period right now. So when I see friends around me getting work, or finding new opportunities for development, I’m truly happy for them,”

Sharing the joy of Ali’s breakthrough “Best New Performer” nomination for the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards, Lok-yi added his hopes — “Wishing you every success” — for Ali to achieve even greater breakthroughs with her three films.
