[Celebrity Weddings] Chan Wing Chun, Helen Ng Are Officially Married!

Having met on the set of Gilded Chopsticks <食為奴>, 62-year-old Chan Wing Chun (陳榮峻) and 57-year old Helen Ng’s (吳香倫) officially tied the knots yesterday. The couple finally put a ring on their lovely “sunset romance” of three years.

This is Chan Wing Chung’s second marriage, and Helen’s first. Chan Wing Chung’s wife died after having a stroke in 2010. Falling into depression for a long time, Chan Wing Chung never thought he would fall in love with another woman again. The TVB co-stars started dating in 2014 and took their relationship slowly due to their mature age. However, Chan Wing Chung felt that as both are serious about each other, it was the right thing to do to ask Helen to marry him.

The couple’s wedding ceremony was held at The Hong Kong Catholic Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception alongside family and close friends. On choosing the appropriate venue for this special occasion, Chan Wing Chun expressed, “To be able to have the wedding in a place that boasts over a century of history only seems appropriate. To be blessed in such a spiritual place, I’ve gained even more faith in our love and marriage.”

Dressed in a beautiful mermaid-cut wedding gown, Helen glowed as she walked down with her new husband in tow, giving her heartfelt vow at the end of the aisle which eventually rendered herself in tears. While also teary eyed, Chan Wing Chun quickly came to comfort Helen during her speech. Although the wedding was small, many of the couple’s friends from the industry showed up, including Tony Hung (洪永城), Louis Yuen (阮兆祥), Law Lan(羅蘭), and Kiwi Kit (袁潔儀).

After the wedding, the couple will be jetting off to their honeymoon and will spend 10 days on a relaxing cruise ship. Chan Wing Chun said he is happy as long as his wife is happy and it did not matter where their honeymoon was.

  1. That’s sweet how they decided to give their love a go and that it went well.

  2. Wow, so beautiful and it shows that you can always find love again regardless of what age and get married even late in life. I am deeply touched and so happy for them. Hope they are happy always!

Is that Maggie Chan in the group photo? Great to see her as I have not seen her in a long time.

  3. Aww.. congratulations!! I actually loves her dress better than Gillian Chung a lot. The lady with the red colorful dress looked a bit scary maybe because of her makeup?

    1. @cutie777 No, she probably looks even more scary without the makeup, lol. It’s actually because she had a lot of plastic surgery done in the past which leads to why she looks like this now. But yes, her makeup also makes her look quite scary as she often looks like a drag queen or scary clown. There’s also another HK actress like her who had too much plastic surgery done and her face is just as messed up too. I don’t know what both of their name is in English…I am trying to find both their pictures to show you what they look like.

      1. @janice have no idea who she is but I just thought she looked scary that’s all you could be right about having a plastic surgery too much. About the other two you’re talking about no idea who are they either if you know their Chinese name?

      2. @janice omg!! She looked even more scarier than this lady here she seem familiar though still no idea who she is but thanks anyway. Plastic surgery are scary sometimes.

  4. Nice and sweet. Making an effort to show love and appreciation for Helen’s companionship.

  5. Congratulations to the lovely couple! I have loved him since The New Adventures of Chor Lau-heung and The Grand Canal. I wish them the best!
