Christine Ng Calls Out Kong Wah for Being a Male Diva?

Known for her outspoken personality, Christine Ng (伍詠薇)  revealed that a former co-star had acted like a male diva on the filming set. Her revelation on her talk show Tiger’s Talk led many to speculate that Christine was talking about Kong Wah (江華), whom she worked with in three dramas.

In the latest episode of Tiger Talk, which featured Flying Tiger 2 <飛虎之雷霆極戰> stars Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), and Ron Ng (吳卓羲) as special guests, Christine shared her appalling experience when the topic of “unforgettable artistes” they worked with surfaced.

Complaining about a former co-star for his arrogance, Christine did not reveal his name, but noted that he worked previously at ATV. She then mimicked his signature gestures by rolling back her shoulders. Christine said, “He wouldn’t teach you anything! You can start off slow and if you mess up your lines, you’ll just have to start over. He won’t care if you learn! He was someone who would either not come to filming, arrive late, or would go missing and come back eight hours later!”

Catching on fairly quickly, Bob made a guess and asked Christine if the actor she was talking about only had two characters in his name. Although still not directly revealing the name of the senior she worked with, Christine indirectly admitted it when co-host Bob Lam (林盛斌) made the comment. Netizens then immediately guessed that it was perhaps Kong Wah (江華) – an actor who previously worked with Christine in ATV series The Silver Tycoon <銀狐> and Simply Actors <戲王之王>, as well as TVB’s 1999 series Ups and Downs <無業樓民>.

When reporters approached Kong Wah to comment over the speculations, he shrugged and did not seem to care too much about Christine’s accusations. He simply expressed, “It’s been a while since I’ve played this type of game–let’s just all continue to be happy.”

@m0m0 Not sure if they are talking about him but this GW is definitely quite a character. I saw clips on youtube long ago and he always acts like he’s so HOT and dresses like he’s in hawaii or something or he’s a supermodel. haha lol… even thou he’s probably 50/60s? I didn’t goggle his age. My mom used to love him. haha lol…. Also, the way he speaks and the aura is just arrogance. He refuse to apologize for his mistake over his affair w/the Rosy Business series lead I forgot her name now or even a bit remorseful over his infidelity. But they did interview his son and he seems very level headed and down to earth unlike his dad which is a great thing.
And no surprise the wife stay w him til this day I think.

You mean Sharen Tang… Kong Wah may not be an angel but Christine does not seem like such a kind person either.

Speaking of coming late, it depends on the circumstances too. Tony Leung used to come late to filming back in the days too. However, it was not because he was being a diva but he was just too tired from filming due to TVB’s grueling hours.

i don’t think it is another actor’s job to teach her how to act. she should do her homework and study others. if its true he shows up late, then h has bad work ethics.

I agree but it is good to help each other out. It is more of the directors job to tell the actors what to do. It is ok to come late once in awhile if you have a good reason but not all the time.

@hetieshou Yea, many senior actors do help newbies out, and that shows good character, but still not Kong Wah’s responsibility. I agree, a few lateness with good reasons isn’t bad.

@tocar Im sure in any normal work place if you see a fellow colleague struggle you will help them and not just wait for them to mess up.

@megamiaow yes, a normal work place, but TVB is not a normal work place. TVB works their actors to death with long hours and no rest. So I’m assuming KW had a lot of projects on hand and was dead tired to even do anything, let alone help another actor out. He had the patience to let her NG without yelling at her.
