Crystal Fung is a Controlling Girlfriend
On the latest episode of TVB talk show Young and Restless <後生仔傾吓偈>, Luk Ho Ming (陸浩明) brought up five characteristics of control freaks. That is, they require their other half to report back, they often criticize their other half, they ask the other party to change for them, they threaten their partner, and lastly, they are the jealous type who is suspicious of their partner. Aside from the first point, fellow cohost Crystal Fung (馮盈盈), who is dating her doctor boyfriend Martin, meets all of the above conditions. “I could care less about what he’s doing; receiving reports can be annoying,” she said bluntly.
A regular member on the show added that another major characteristic of a control freak is asking their partner to delete his or her heterosexual friends on social media. However, Crystal doesn’t see anything wrong with it. She said, “You can’t just delete heterosexual friends, you have to deactivate the whole [Instagram] account. This way, I won’t see any pictures of women on his phone.”
Hearing this, guest Bella Lam (林穎彤) immediately displayed an expression full of envy and admiration. She expressed, “I want to do that, but I can’t bring myself to. Don’t you think it crosses the line?”
Crystal replied, “He can add his relatives and colleagues on Facebook, but they have to be at least 40 years old, married, and parents.”
Her shocking requirements made the youngsters on the show speechless. “Why is that a problem?” Crystal asked. “Emotion and subjective things will change over time. If he’s unhappy today, I’ll treat him to fried rice tomorrow and he’ll perk up. My baby really likes to eat fried rice. These deleted friends will forever be deleted, and they’ll never be found once you block their numbers.”
Although Crystal’s method is quite extreme, it’s fine as long as Martin is willing to give up his friends for his girlfriend and fried rice.

Hope she is joking, because this sounds like abusive behavior. If she can’t trust him to see women on Facebook or Instagram, she doesn’t have any trust at all.

To me, I think she is joking. I think she is saying things like this as it fits her reputation and her character on the show.
