Natalie Tong Had No Emotional Security with Tony Hung?

Natalie Tong (唐詩詠) and Tony Hung’s (洪永城) breakup has become the talk of the town. With rumors flying left and right about the possibilities behind their split, Natalie eventually broke down into tears when reporters dropped those questions to her a few days ago, tearfully denying gold-digging and cheating rumors.

After a day of laying low in the spotlight, Natalie made a public appearance on Friday to attend an event for Volkswagen. Wearing a pink tube dress, Natalie brightened the atmosphere with her smiles, although her face looked a bit swollen and tired.

Asking Natalie for her car preferences, the actress said, “It needs to be sturdy enough to protect me. A while back, someone hit me with their car. That person’s car needed repairs, but mine was fine.”

Natalie’s answer could be a hint to her reason behind the breakup. Perhaps Tony couldn’t give the emotional security she needed? In an after-event interview, Natalie said, “You know I won’t answer that question. We’ve already made statements about what we wanted to say, so we won’t be saying any more.” Asking if sense of security is the most important thing in a relationship, Natalie said, “That’s important for all women. I just don’t want everyone to assume that that was the reason. We want to keep our privacy.”

How is Natalie feeling now? Thanking everyone’s concerns, she said, “I’m okay!” (You looked tired!) “I’m not! But I’ve been filming my new drama. I received a lot of kind of messages from many friends, and I feel very warm.” (Your eyes are swollen.) “It’s fluid! I am trying to get rid of it with more exercise.” (Tony Hung said he really supports you. Will you guys sit down and talk about it some more?) “We won’t be doing that any time soon, but I’m really thankful of him. I know he’s also in a lot of stress. We will be supporting each other.”

There’s been a rumor going around claiming that Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) and Kenneth Ma (馬國明) were the reasons behind their breakup. The rumor said Sisley and Tony have grown closer in their recent collaboration in the TVB drama The Learning Curve of a Warlord <大帥哥>. This rumor intensified after a gossip source reported that Natalie had walked the other direction after someone yelled out Sisley’s name.

Natalie said, “It was raining that day! I was in a hurry.” (You guys are fine?) “Of course. I do apologize for dragging so many people into this. I hope this will come to an end, and that we can all start anew.”

As for the rumor that Andrew Lo (盧啟邦), the executive director of Alvin Chau’s (周焯華) Sun Century Group, has been pursuing her, Natalie said, “I’m not going to talk about that. I’ve already said the things I wanted to say.” (Has your agency met up with you to talk about this?) “Many of my colleagues have messaged me, offering me words of encouragement. Each and every one of them. I’m very thankful and touched.”

  1. I think their relationship started while filming Rear Mirror, portraying Tony a wealthy and romantic man, later attracted Natalie. He was rather well received and praised for the role. That could be the pull factor for Natalie. But, maybe later the reality sets in gradually and as criticism grows, the rest is history.

  2. The reporters are asking all the wrong questions. They should instead be asking Natalie just one question – “what took you so long to dump the douchebag?”

  3. Why is Tony Hung a douche bag? (Sorry, this was probably discussed earlier, I might have missed it.)

  4. From one douchebag to another. Pot calling the kettle black, huh?? Sounds like the epic perfection of self projectification.
