“Perfect Crown” Set to Intrigue With Perfect Cast

MBC’s upcoming drama Perfect Crown starring IU, Byeon Woo Seok, Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung Yeon, has dropped four new character posters — and the mood is all about power, tension and dangerous romance.

A Status-breaking Romance And Treat for Fans

Set in an alternate version of Korea under a modern constitutional monarchy, the drama follows Seong Hee-joo, a wealthy beauty heiress who has everything except noble status. Determined to beat the aristocrats at their own game, she sets her sights on the country’s most desirable royal bachelor and enters a marriage that could change everything.

That man is Lee Ahn, the king’s second son, a smart and capable royal with the title but underappreciated and long shut out from the throne. He lives in concealment all along, and is suddenly pushed into the center of power after tragedy strikes the royal family.

Noh Sang-hyun plays Min Jung-woo, the brilliant prime minister and Lee Ahn’s closest friend, whose darker side begins to show as the royal marriage shakes up the balance around him. Gong Seung-yeon plays Yoon Yi-rang, a woman raised to become the perfect royal wife, who emerges as the fiercest opposing force when Lee Wan chooses to marry a commoner.

Chaebol Heiress Meets Powerless Prince

Blending royalty, class conflict, ambition and romance, the series promises a glossy palace drama with a modern twist. Perfect Crown premieres on April 10 on MBC, with international streaming on Disney+.
