Priscilla Wong Lost 10 Pounds From Filming “Seven Princesses”

On Tuesday, Priscilla Wong (黃翠如) attended an event to promote the TVB drama Ratman to the Rescue <過街英雄> and shared experiences of filming her upcoming drama Seven Princess <七公主>. Going through long nights and exhausting days, Priscilla lost a total of ten pounds over the course of several weeks.

“I didn’t realize it until this morning when I stepped on the scale,” she said. “The weight loss was intentional at first. Playing a lawyer I wanted to have a stronger image, but I wasn’t expecting to lose that much. This role, I’ve come to realize, is actually really stressful, and the stress got me to drop even more weight. I didn’t realize it myself until a colleague pointed out to me that I got skinnier.” Priscilla added that she plans on seeing a traditional Chinese medical doctor so she can better manage her health.

Pointing out that dramatic weight losses could affect one’s pregnancy and ability to conceive, Priscilla expressed that she and husband, Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), are not in a hurry to become parents. “Let nature take its course,” she said. “We never had plans in the first place. (Does that mean you guys aren’t using protection?) I’ve been really busy recently. We’ve all been. He’s also working. I want to focus on work first. I’m not in my best shape right now. If we are talking about [having kids], then I must take care of my own health first.”

  1. She is already so skinny. Every series she wears such long sweaters and many layers, it almost feels like she is hiding how thin she is. I hope she gets stress relief and gains back the weight she lost.

  2. Oof she doesn’t look good so skinny. I think we can count on one hand how many female artists at tvb actually have a normal bmi. Everyone has the chopstick figure! Hope she has time to rest and eat.
Man hk reporters ask such invasive questions, just let them be!

  3. ‘Does that mean you guys aren’t using protection?’ Wth, did the reporter really ask that? I mean, I know they are celebrities but seriously?? I won’t even ask my friends these kinds of question.

    1. @pompidur Lol…If they can ask unmarried ladies if you are a virgin when they saw them slept over at your BF’s then I am sure asking a married couple is very normal to them anyway!! Lol…Didn’t they report the V group all the time before they got married. The Grace W was pretty vocal about keeping it but they assume all of them were virgins due to their Christian religion. And I remember they ask the other Grace the one who married uncle Kevin C if she still had to V card I think she did eventually mumbled a vague yes. HK reporters love asking this all the time I think. Not sure if the same with reporters from China.

      1. @wm2017 Louisa Mak (Ms HK), was asked if she’s eligible to join the V club. She first replied she was not invited, the reporter persisted, she then replied it’s more of a religious call . Reporter would not let it go, she said she was pissed then and told the reporter she deemed it s*xual harassment

  4. Doesn’t HK & China like stick figures? Why are we surprised? Especially HK I remember reporters often comment on good some of the actresses look when I thought to myself go stuff some burgers gosh. They seem bulimic sometimes. It’s unattractive and unhealthy.
