“Record of Youth”, Park Bo Gum’s Last Drama Before Enlistment, Drops New Teaser

27-year-old Park Bo Gum, who will be enlisting in the South Korean navy next month to fulfill his mandatory military service, will be appearing on TV again just before he takes on his three-year hiatus.

tvN drama Record of Youth, starring Park Bo Gum and Parasite actress Park So Dam, is a story about fulfilling one’s dreams despite the hardships and setbacks ahead. It stars Park Bo Gum as a bright young man who dreams to become a model and actress. Park So Dam plays a struggling makeup artist who has ambitious goals. The two will also be involved in a heart-stopping romance.

Record of Youth will premiere in September, and is created by Memories of the Alhambra (2018) director Ahn Gil Ho and The Doctors (2016) screenwriter Ha Myung Hee. It is also Park So Dam’s first television drama since Cinderella with Four Knights (2016), which aired on tvN.

  1. The military service is now only 1 and a half years. Why is he taking a 3 year hiatus? Unless he is planning on doing other things besides the military service. Everyone freaks out the military but it is not so bad.
