Ron Ng Reveals Roger Kwok Will Join “Flying Tiger 3”

Shaw Brothers’ Flying Tiger <飛虎之雷霆極戰> franchise has enjoyed popularity during its run in Hong Kong and China, spawning a third season, which will start filming in July. The production was postponed from March due to COVID-19. In a recent interview, Ron Ng (吳卓羲) revealed that the third season will have a major shift in its cast, including the addition of TV King Roger Kwok (郭晉安)

Refusing to reveal any spoilers for the current Flying Tiger 2 that is airing on TVB, Ron said he forgot most of the storyline anyway, as he had finished watching the show six months ago when it was streamed online in China.

Excited to share that Roger will be joining the third season, Ron expressed, “The drama will have Roger. We’ve switched out the entire female cast. There are some actresses whom I haven’t worked with yet. I’m very excited to be able to work with Michael Miu (苗僑偉) again, and the fact that we still have jobs is already fortunate enough. I’m happy that all of us get to work together again.”

When asked about gossip that Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) had pursued actress Jennifer Yu (余香凝) on set of Flying Tiger 2, Ron quickly came to his good friend’s defense, “Bosco already responded to the rumors. He said he was wrongly accused, and the rumors made him feel uncomfortable. I trust him – if he says there’s nothing, then there’s nothing. I don’t think I’ve seen him with such a big reaction before. I did pay attention to him during filming – we worked from day until night and he still had to attend to his restaurant business after work. Where would he have the time?”

Unlike the past, Ron said he is not afraid of romantic rumors with new female partners. He added, “I’m not even young anymore. There will be no rumors. After we finish filming, no one really talks about it anymore.”

On a happier note though, Ron took the opportunity to congratulate Kenneth Ma (馬國明) after he announced his relationship with Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯). Happy for his friend, Ron said that he is not in a rush himself to end his bachelor days, and simply said it is not time for his turn yet.

      1. @anon I am watching this series atm, and I wouldn’t say it has no plot. There is a plot but it is diluted with an overload of characters and unnecessary female characters that only serve as love interests. It would be way better if they cut out the female cast imo.

  1. Tired of watching these “cat & mouse” stories. Story line is quite predictable. Although i like a few of the actors there but the drama is too “cliche”.

  2. It would be nice if they bring back Venus Wong instead Kelly Cheung I’m tired looking at her.

    1. @cutie777 totally agree.Kelly’s acting was so terrible I couldn’t watch it. The first instalment was much better

      1. @tt23 yes exactly my thoughts! I enjoy the first one also I really like the Bosco and Venus they both makes a cute couple unlike Kelly who looks very mature for her age and can’t act either. I have to say she doesn’t suit Bosco at all they look more like siblings than a couple. Don’t know why tvb always get those on screen who can’t act at all the one who actually can act they let them go I was like really? What a mess.

    2. @cutie777 oh good, it’s not just me. She’s pretty, but her acting is rather unnatural. I wish TVB would give these stars real acting lessons.
