Selena Lee Confirms That She’ll Be Back for “Barrack O’Karma 2”

Selena Lee (李施嬅) has confirmed that she’ll be back for the sequel of Barrack O’Karma <金宵大廈>!

The supernatural series, which focuses on the cross-generational romance between Ah Siu (Joel Chan 陳山聰) and Alex (Selena Lee) was a surprise hit when it first premiered in Hong Kong last year, receiving a top nominations at the TVB Anniversary Awards, including Best Drama, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Selena won Most Popular Female Character for her role as Alex and Candice Chiu (趙希洛) won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Mrs. Ho.

As Barrack O’Karma was Selena’s last drama on her TVB contract, her return for the sequel was up in the air, and negotiations for a return took several months.

This week, Selena finally confirmed that she will be returning for the sequel, announcing the good news on Instagram. “Smiling and thinking about my roles for Season 2,” she wrote. “Yes, it’s official! Everyone’s been telling me to do Barrack O’Karma 2. Okay then. I’ll listen to you guys!”

  1. Best part of 2020!! I’m so excited and cannot wait. I also do hope that it would be a good sequel with an amazing script! This is what a sequel should be with the main cast!

  2. I loved watching Barrack Okarma! So happy to hear there’s a sequel and Selena will return!

Btw, I thought Selena’s last TVB series was Forensic Heroes 4?

  3. Hahahaha some people said her career would turn out to be like Fala Chen’s. Lol

    TVB is where she belongs.

It is too soon to see how far Fala can go. The next thing you know, she has no more choices and comes back to TVB too. You never know..

Given Fala’s current portfolio, she’s never coming back to TVB. Once she’s starred in a marvel movie, the Chinese entertainment industry will be the lowest of the low that she will fall. Regardless of whether she’s known or not, you automatically reach stardom in China once you’re in a Hollywood movie.

Never say never as anything is possible in this world. Life is unpredictable since anyone can be wealthy and well known one moment and poor and unknown the next. I never thought Annie Liu would film for TVB but she did.
