Why Edison Chen Loves Shupei Qin
Edison Chen (陳冠希) is everyone’s favorite bad boy, and when the controversial star announced his relationship with Chinese model Shupei Qin (秦舒培) and the subsequent birth of their daughter, the media wondered how Shupei managed to tame him down.
Indeed, Edison has changed a great deal after meeting Shupei. He has become a lot more family-oriented and careful with his ways of speaking. He no longer lashes out at the paparazzi and remains very protective of Shupei and their daughter. On Shupei’s birthday, Edison openly wished Shupei a happy birthday on his own social media, writing, “My baby’s mother, my inspiration. You make me feel complete. Thank you God for letting me have you.”
Shupei made Edison feel loved. After hearing that he likes polar bears, Shupei purchased Edison a plane ticket to the Arctic Circle on his birthday. Edison knows Shupei has changed him, acknowledge this to the media: “I know that many people believe that I have a bad attitude because of the clips they see online, but I am actually a very simple person. If you respect me, I will respect you. I am actually not that bad, so really. Thank you.”
Shupei is extremely supportive of Edison in whatever he chooses to do. She would go the extra mile to promote his work, whether it’s his businesses or his performance career. Shupei has been consistently updating her followers with pictures of Edison and their daughter Alaia, praising Edison to be a great father.

I agree and I have seen many seem all happy during the first 2-3 years but then after that, things start going downhill. I saw it with some of my cousins. It just depends and maintaining a family/marriage takes lots of work. Hope he has learned and will be a better person, husband and father.

he grew up and matured at some point enough is enough, but the sad part and will be marked forever on the internet, once her daughter grows up and search for “Edison Chen controversial stuff” it ain’t going to be pretty.
@vodka I doubt it. Edison’s baby is the combination of two pretty out there wild parents. I doubt she’ll be that innocent and sheltered when she grows up. Seeing Edison’s scandal would most likely be a walk in the park for her. In addition, kids these days lack a sense of morale. 18 years from now, how loose, crazy, and sexual will our world be by then? I think conservatives will be the minority even in Asia.
