Yang Mi and Hawick Lau Split Assets After Divorce

Chinese actress Yang Mi (楊冪) and Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau (劉愷威) have already quietly split their assets after announcing their divorce in December 2018.

According to a recent report, the ex-couple have already quietly divided their properties and assets back in May 2019, out of the media’s spotlight. Though Yang Mi is worth 4.5 billion RMB, nearly nine times more than her ex-husband, Hawick chose not to ask for more, and instead only asked for complete ownership of an HK$80 million estate they had purchased together in Hong Kong back in 2012.

That same year they had also established a limited liability company together, and purchased an estate in Hong Kong worth HK$30 million. Yang Mi resigned as board member of the company in May. The Mid-levels estate, now worth HK$44 million in the market, is now reportedly also under Hawick’s name.

Yang Mi is the highest-paid actress in China, and is also the leader and owner of Jiaxing Media, which houses popular artists such as Dilireba (迪丽热巴) and Vin Zhang (张彬彬). With investments in popular dramas such as Eternal Love <三生三世十里桃花>, Yang Mi’s worth is estimated to be at least 4.5 billion RMB.

Though not nearly worth as much as Yang Mi, Hawick himself is worth at least 500 million RMB, and is also one of the higher-paying actors in China, with a rumored 50 million RMB per acting contract.

In addition to the assets he had retrieved from the divorce, Hawick himself owns property worth HK50 million in Central, another HK$30 million property in Wan Chai, and a property in Wong Chuk Hang worth HK$22 million.

Yang Mi and Hawick share custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Noemie. While Hawick has moved back to Hong Kong to take care of her full time, Yang Mi, on the other hand, splits her time between China and Hong Kong—in June, she was spotted returning to Hong Kong to celebrate her daughter’s birthday.

  1. I wonder how the media estimates Yang Mi and Hawick’s net worth. Really, does the media really know all the assets owned by each of them?

    1. @snowy It’s a guestimate at best, and a little digging, like a good journalist, you will be amazed at what can be dug up. Unless they put their properties under other people names
