Yang Mi Hides Daughter’s Face from Reporters
With their busy careers in Mainland China, Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪) left their 3-year-old daughter in the care of Hawick’s parents. With little time spent together in the marriage, Hawick reportedly had an affair with costar Angel Wang (王鷗). Despite speculation that the couple was headed for divorce, Yang Mi said she trusted her husband. Flying back to Hong Kong last week, Hawick and Yang Mi celebrated their daughter’s third birthday.
For added privacy, the couple hosted the birthday celebration on a yacht. Both Hawick and Yang Mi’s parents were present. Although the group did not interact with reporters when approached, Hawick and his father, Lau Dan (劉丹), greeted and waved to reporters in the parking garage.
When the press started taking photos, Yang Mi quickly covered her daughter Little Sticky Rice’s face. An assistant sitting behind Yang Mi even put a blanket over Little Sticky Rice’s head to offer better coverage.
When reached for an interview later, Lau Dan said, “The whole family came home to celebrate Little Sticky Rice’s birthday! My granddaughter is very well behaved! Thank you!” Hawick also responded, “Thank you everyone! The family is having a simple dinner together to celebrate a little kid’s birthday!”
