Linda Chung Shares Her Family Routine
Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) recently appeared on a radio program hosted by Christine (汀汀) where she gave fans a glimpse of her daily routine as a mother of three children. Despite her hectic schedule, Linda is fully dedicated to her family and earning Christine praise her as a “Super Mom”.
Starting the day early, Linda would wake up to help her children finish homework before school as she believes that doing homework in the morning is easier with a clearer mind. Linda also reveals that she walks her children to from school every day and would drop them off to extracurricular activities such as dancing and ice hockey.
At home, Linda takes charge of the household and shared, “When we get home, I immediately start cooking. After eating, we do some homework, take a shower and I play with them for a bit. I watch a little Chinese shows, and by 8:30 p.m. it’s bedtime.”
Linda also praises her doctor husband as a “Super Partner” because even though he is busy with work, he still actively helps out with cooking, laundry, cleaning and other household chores. Linda added, “Whatever I can do, he can too. We are both very well-rounded.”
Watching Her Children Grow
The couple insists on encouraging their children to be independent and would give them tasks to look after. Linda would tell her chi8ldren, “When we go out, I won’t help you put on your shoes. You need to wash your own backpack and clean your own lunch box.”
As a mother of three, Linda is delighted to see her children having their own personalities. Linda describes her eldest daughter as very obedient, opinionated and takes on the demeanor of the eldest sibling. Her son is Linda’s “little lover” who is good a sweet-talking but he is also stubborn. Finally, Linda’s youngest 2-year-old daughter is the wildest but also very friendly. Whenever the siblings fight, Linda would talk to them gently at first and then reason with them.
Linda shared, “If teaching is not working, I would get frustrated. There are many ways to manage though and I am still in the process of learning. I also had an older brother and sister, so I understand why they might argue. It’s fine as long as there is no blood.”
However, as Linda watches her children grow, she is also feeling bittersweet: “If one day I can’t smell their stinky feet, there would be no more joy in life. I can’t accept it right now. My daughter is changing every day including her expressions and responses. She is getting more and more indifferent to things. It wasn’t like this before, so I feel a little sad. Now she prefers to play with her friends and forget about mom and dad. It’s too fast for a 9-year-old!”
Linda also revealed that she is scared when her daughter reaches maturity and have her menstruation. Linda personally remembered being scared when she menstruated for the first time, thought that she was ill and was too scared to tell her mother: “I quietly prayed. I was saying I can’t die and I have to be with my mother.” Now as a mother, Linda will get to see how her daughter respond to changes that goes with reaching maturity.
