Nancy Wu Surprises with Marriage Announcement
Last year, Nancy Wu (胡定欣) started dating successful aesthetic doctor Akin Chan (陳健華). Unexpectedly, the two already tied the knot!
Nancy made a surprise announcement on social media that she had married Akin on October 3. She shared beautifully romantic wedding photos of the ceremony in New Zealand. The newlyweds were filled with happiness. Nancy captioned her post with a sweet message, “Akin & Nancy 03.10.2025. Found you at the perfect time. Heaven has truly treated me well.”
Following Nancy’s surprise announcement of her marriage, close friends immediately sent their congratulations. Mandy Wong (黃智雯) expressed her heartfelt joy, writing, “Big congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Chan! So sweet! I’m so happy for you!” Fellow member Paisley Hu (胡蓓蔚) also sent her blessings, “Huge congratulations to Dr. Chan and Nann. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness.” Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) added her excitement with, “Congratulations to you and Akin! Wishing you a joyful, loving, and sweet life together.”
Rosina Lam (林夏薇) joined in with an emotional message, “Congratulations, my dear! Wishing you eternal happiness!” Joel Chan (陳山聰) also chimed in, “Congratulations! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and joy.” Joel is known for his close sibling-like bond with Nancy, but he admitted he was just as surprised as everyone else. “I found out at the same time as all of you,” he laughed. “I’m so happy and emotional. I sincerely wish Dr. Chan and my good sister a long, loving marriage. Dr. Chan is polite, handsome, tall, and successful, he’s got everything. I’m truly thrilled for them. Sending my deepest blessings!”
Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪) also responded with joy when asked about Nancy marrying without informing their group of friends. “We’re all so happy we can’t keep up,” he joked. “No wonder she didn’t answer our calls during the holidays. When we tried to reach her for Joel’s birthday dinner, she was nowhere to be found. We wondered what was going on and it turns out it was something so joyful!”

If this guy is such a big catch, can’t figure out why he didn’t hook-up with a younger and better looking babe than settling for some middle-age TVB actress that is past her prime.
That was one rude comment. Nancy is fit, successful, and pretty. They are the same age and perhaps, they both are good catches and can attract age appropriate
Yeah I agree! If he was a good catch, why is he still single at such an old age! However I do think Nancy is very pretty, and fit for her age!
Honestly she had to do this in secret which means she was scared of her friends disapproval and make her sad so she just did it.

He married when the time was right, and when he felt he met the right person. As far as I can see, he is not a bad looking man and he has a respectable, in demand, high paying job. He can provide for himself and his wife, not that Nancy needs his money.
Congrats to the newlyweds. May they have a home and marriage filled with love, happiness, health, wealth and longevity.
I do not think they married late. I said they are age appropriate for each other.

Tgat was indeed a mean thing to say. He married the woman he loves. Everyone does not get married when they are very young. Perhaps they are focused on their careers during the earlier years. They also might not have met the right person yet. I see nothing wrong with Nancy’s face or body.
lol the comments in here, people are so old fashioned. lots of celebrities get married in secret, why do they need to tell anyone about it? If she was worried about other peoples disapproval, she wouldn’t of announced her marriage at all. It’s not like they were dating and secret either. why did the guy not chose a younger woman? why don’t you ask why she didn’t pick a younger man? not every one wants to to marry a younger person? such boomer mentality.
Group of close friends, sibling-like relationship, yet no one knew! It’s not like they eloped. It’s a destination wedding … I wonder why it kept a secret?

There are a couple unkind comments here. It’s their lives and their wedding. It’s their right to do however that wanted with it. There is nothing wrong that they found each other later in life. Some people focus on their careers 1st before marriage and children. If they are happy with their choices then we should be happy for them.
