Myolie Wu Gives Nancy Wu Wedding Gift

Earlier, TV Queen Nancy Wu (胡定欣) celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival by posting a series of stunning wedding photos with her doctor boyfriend Akin Chan (陳建華) on social media, announcing that the two are now married. The couple tied the knot in New Zealand, with the picturesque ceremony looking straight out of a fairytale.

However, it turns out the wedding was kept highly confidential, with even her close circle of best friends from Nonsense Club being kept in the dark, without being invited. Nancy’s good friend Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), who shares a deep friendship with her, even publicly joked in an earlier interview,  “Hey! You can find me now — let me make this announcement over the airwaves!”

On November 30, Nancy finally shared a video and photos of her reunion with Myolie on social media. From Nancy’s post, it can be seen that Myolie and her husband, Philip Lee (李乘德), had gifted Nancy a pair of traditional gold dragon and phoenix bangles, a symbolic blessing for newlyweds.

Myolie personally helped Nancy put them on, while Nancy grinned from ear to ear, and wrote “My good sister really walks the talk—she actually got me a pair of dragon-phoenix bangles as a gift! No matter how high gold prices go, I’ll treasure them forever! Thank you, Sis! Haha! Next time I’ll wear them to show off!!”

Many netizens left comments congratulating Nancy, saying how lucky she is to have such a thoughtful best friend. Myolie also replied warmly, “I’m truly so happy I could personally help you put on those bangles! ❤️” In addition, Nancy also met up with Joel Chan (陳山聰) and his wife, Pal Sinn (單立文) and Paisley Hu (胡蓓蔚), as well as Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪) and Bowie Cheung (張寶兒). The cheerful group photo was accompanied with the caption, “This bunch of ‘villagers’ know me too well… informing I couldn’t make it for Joel’s birthday, not replying to Uncle Ben’s messages—they knew something was up 😂 Yup! I got married… Finally I can share it with you all! Thanks for understanding how tight-lipped I was!~ 😘😜” Paisley joked that Nancy was “too sneaky,” but added that everything had turned out just the way it should.
