Period Spy Romance “100 Days of Deception” Set to Thrill

tvN’s new drama 100 Days of Deception <100일의 거짓말> is scheduled to premiere on October 10, bringing together Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jinyoung for a high-stakes “spy romance”!

Helmed by Director Yoo In-shik (Dr. Romantic series, Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and penned by Writer Ryu Bo-ri (Do You Like Brahms?), 100 Days of Deception stars Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jinyoung in a story set in Gyeongseong. The plot follows Gyeongseng’s top pickpocket-turned-spy, and an elite translator for the Government General of Korea who meet face-to-face  at the heart of enemy territory, kicking off a 100-day espionage romance.

In a fascinating twist, both the leads Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jinyoung share the exact same birthday (September 22) — an incredible coincidence which was hyped up by tvN’s official Instagram account, which extended birthday wishes to the duo, sharing an image with the caption: “From 1932 Gajang & Tae-woong to 2026 Yoo-jung & Jinyoung, Happy Destined 0922 Birthday.”

Born in 1999, Kim Yoo-jung made her debut at just four years old in a 2003 commercial. Demonstrating exceptional talent early on, she regularly portrayed younger versions of female leads across numerous K-dramas, amassing over 20 years of acting experience. In 2016, her standout role as Hong Ra-on in Love in the Moonlight cemented her status as a top-tier actress. Since then, she has earned widespread acclaim for her leading roles in hit series such as My Demon and Dear X.

Born in 1994, Park Jinyoung initially made his acting debut in January 2012 through the drama Dream High 2. He subsequently debuted musically in the duo JJ Project in May of the same year, and later as a member of GOT7 in January 2014. In 2016, he played the younger counterpart to Lee Min-ho in The Legend of the Blue Sea, before landing his first drama lead role in 2019’s He Is Psychometric. He has continued to build an impressive filmography with nuanced performances in projects like Yumi’s Cells and Unknown Seoul.
