Netflix Releases List of Top 10 Most Watched Korean Dramas

As Netflix introduces contents from around the world, the popularity of Korean dramas continues to grow. Recently, the streaming giant has released a list of Korean dramas with the highest streamed by viewers around the world.

The thriller series Squid Game starring Lee Jung Jae tops the list with a staggering 2 billion seconds streamed. The drama is critically acclaimed and made history for being the first Korean drama to be nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble at the SAG awards.

Netflix zombie flick, All of Us Are Dead ranks second in the list with over 650 million viewing seconds. The drama about a group of high school students trapped in their school in a zombie apocalypse will be getting a second season.

Taking third place, Extraordinary Attorney Woo was released in August of this year and has made a strong impression with viewers with its plot revolving around a lawyer with Asperger’s syndrome. The drama has 457 million viewing seconds and surprised 2021’s hit Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha with 300 million viewing seconds.

Rom-com drama Business Proposal is in fifth place as many viewers became charmed by leading stars Kim Se Jeong and Ahn Hyo Seop. The series tells the story of an employee who accidentally went a blind date with her boss.

  1. Out of 10, onky 3 are probably well written, out of which 2 maybe watchable as they are instead of the hype accompanying it.

  2. hmm…only completed Squid Game and that’s likely because I managed to watch all in one sitting. Have I watched it on various days, might not have continued. The rest are either dropped/ skipped episodes in between or totally giving the entire drama a miss.
