Shin Min-A Plays Indomitable Beauty in “The Remarried Empress”

Disney+’s The Remarried Empress, scheduled to premiere this fall, stars Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Se-young. The series is adapted from the hugely popular webtoon of the same name, which had amassed more than 2.97 billion views worldwide as of July 2026.

The story follows Navier (Shin Min-a), the flawless empress of the Eastern Empire. After discovering that her husband, Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon), has become infatuated with Rashta, a runaway slave (portrayed by Lee Se-young), Navier is dealt an even greater blow when he asks for a divorce so that he can make Rashta his new empress.

Navier resolutely accepts the divorce and proposes marriage to Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk), the prince of the Western Kingdom.

In the newly released teaser poster, Shin Min-a’s Navier stands alone at the center of a majestic courtroom. Her calm yet unwavering expression and regal presence perfectly capture the dignity and authority of an empress. Particularly striking is the iconic line featured on the poster: “I accept the divorce, and I request approval for my remarriage.”

One of the original webtoon’s most memorable scenes, the quote immediately drew enthusiastic attention upon its release. Fans are now even more eager to see how this story—one that will shake the fate of the imperial family—will be brought to life on screen.
