Song Weilong’s Campus Look Sparks New Popularity

Rising C-drama heartthrobs Song Weilong (宋威龍) and Zhao Jinmai (趙今麥) shot to fame in January with their sweet romance drama Shine On Me <驕陽似我>, and both of their careers have been soaring ever since, with job offers pouring in.

Recently, Song Weilong filmed a commercial and returned to the same school campus where Go Ahead had been shot, and photos of him in a high school uniform were revealed. With his fair complexion, thick brows, and big eyes, he looked every bit the campus heartthrob in uniform. Many netizens exclaimed, “He looks just like Zhang Linghe (張凌赫) from Pursuit of Jade <逐玉>!”

Fans were delighted to see 27-year-old Song Weilong wearing a high school uniform again, saying it instantly brought them back to 2020, when he starred in Go Ahead <以家人之名> alongside Tan Songyun (譚松韻) and Zhang Xincheng (張新成), and praised him for not looking older at all — he was 20 years old when he filmed Go Ahead, where his character aged from 18 to 27.

When the drama first aired, his high school uniform look immediately went viral online with his handsome features, and a slightly melancholic, distinctive aura that earned him the title of a “new-generation campus heartthrob.”
