Zhang Linghe is Known as a “Kissing Genius”

Recently, Zhang Linghe (張凌赫), who played the warm-hearted traditional Chinese medicine doctor in The Best Thing <愛你，是我做過最好的事>, appeared on variety show The Truth <開始推理吧3>. During the show, he was unexpectedly put on the spot by Jin Jing (金靖), who played his sibling in My Journey to You <雲之羽>. Close friends in real life, Jin Jing joked she has no experience with kissing scenes and boldly suggested filming a kissing scene with Zhang Linghe.

Jin Jing joked, “I could also add a kissing scene for everyone here,” which prompted Liu Yuning (劉宇寧) to playfully retort, “We might not consent,” causing the whole room to erupt in laughter.

When acting, you have to fully immerse yourself. Once the director yells cut, you have to snap out of it immediately.” Zhang Linghe explained that shooting romantic scenes requires the actor to fall in love with the other person in the moment to make it convincing for the audience. Once filming is over, he returns to reality right away.

While the gossip was entertaining, it also sparked some controversy. Some people questioned whether kissing scenes should even be discussed on variety shows, while others argued that kissing scenes are part of an actor’s job, but the focus should be on acting skills.

Reportedly, Zhang Linghe had over 60 kissing scenes with Xu Ruohan (徐若晗) in The Best Thing including kisses in the car, on the sofa, under the cherry blossoms, and while drunk. Netizens praised Zhang Linghe as a kissing genius, which he accepted wholeheartedly and shared his parents also praised the scenes.
