Raymond Lam (林峯) and Karena Ng‘s (吳千語) relationship has been rumored to be met with disapproval from the Lam family since the start. In May 2013, Raymond took Karena to Los Angeles to attend the graduation commencement ceremony of his younger brother, Rocky (林逸洺), at the University of Southern California. It was said that Raymond used this opportunity to introduce Karena to his family.
Rocky shared a photo of him with Raymond and cousin Lin Xiawei (林夏薇) on Weibo that day, and netizens quickly logged on to congratulate the 23-year-old. When it was time to take photos with other family and friends, rumors said that Rocky refused to take a photo with Karena.
Karena Has Fake Followers?
A little while later, Rocky posted a comment on Weibo, “I’m also going to purchase a pile of members and mobile phone accounts to break 10,000 fans!”
The media speculated that Rocky’s comment was directed at Karena, who currently has over 6.3 million followers on Weibo. It seemed unbelievable that Karena, who debuted just three years ago and has yet to strike it big in the film industry with a representative work, has such a large following. Reportedly, Karena had purchased a lot of fake mobile accounts to gain “phantom followers” for her Weibo.
Karena Stirs Criticism
Raymond’s fans were divided about Rocky’s comment. Some, who are against Karena, left comments to support Rocky, praising his humor and bashed Karena. One said, “Her body isn’t as good as Chrissie Chau’s (周秀娜) and she doesn’t have the qualifications to marry into a wealthy family like Guo Jingjing (郭晶晶). All she can do now is just stand around shopping malls. She can’t get popular no matter how hard her company tries to promote her.” Another said, “Obviously she has phantom fans.” Others criticized Karena for dating Raymond only for his money.
However, there are also those who supported Karena and criticized Rocky for his narrow-minded behavior. “You’re three years older, a man, and came from a good family background. Be more classy.” Some fans also unfollowed Rocky.
A few days ago, Rocky uploaded a new message, saying, “Haven’t been on Weibo in a long time. I supposed I should have over 20,000 fans by now!”
Asked if Rocky’s earlier Weibo post mocked Karena, Raymond’s manager Candy said, “I will not respond to such private questions, but I do know that they (Rocky and Karena) are okay with each other.”
Karena’s manager Carmen said, “I will not respond to things without factual basis, thank you.”
On June 16, Rocky updated a new post, “The Hong Kong media must be helping me gain fans!”

I don’t think RL has a weibo account, or I just haven’t seen it. On a side note , Female celebs that I’ve seen with lots of followers are Ruby Lin with almost 61 mil followers, anaglababy at 41 mil, Yang Mi 34 Mil. As for Male I think Nicky Wu has like 30mil + almost with Yaun Hong With 30mil +.

I never got him and even dislike him more after he started dating this girl. Annoying disturbance every single week. I think I wouldn’t hate them as much if they learned to be more humble and less high-profiled. Haggard Raymond and gold digger Karena – chills**. At first, I thought it’s normal that Karena and Raymond are in a relationship. Recently, after what I’ve read online, somehow I think she’s fake. She is young and can continue with her education, but instead she’s into the limelight and into Raymond and his wealth. Just like how I feel about Kate and William. Somehow I feel Kate is not a genuine person. Everything is intentional. The princess that I actually thought was genuine was Princess Diana. It’s a sad ending for her that she did not end up “happily” with Charles because he never truly loved her. Life is not a fairy tale. Good-looking young girls will aim for rich men so these men provide them money for miscellaneous things and they want “young age” and looks in return. These young girls are not naive and innocent if they think that way.
I always thought that it’s only a myth or some kinda joke that people will pay to get more followers. If Karena really paid to get followers it’s hard to take her seriously as both a person and an actress. I can even understand if one of the reasons she’s dating LF is to gain popularity and more career opportunities, but putting so much importance on social media is absurd.

When reading all the high profile exploits of Karena and Raymond, I kinda feel sad for Mavis Pan. When she was with Raymond, she didn’t get to do all these. She has to hide their relationship.

Karena seems to have a more bright and cheerful personality than Mavis though. Mavis’ exposure of Raymond’s bed photos shows a vengeful side. Raymond said that dating Karena made him feel that he is full of energy. He has relaxed and always looks happy around Karena.

Yes, to be fair to Mavis Pan, if LF treated her (or any woman) like he treated Little Karena, it would be easy to be nice, sweet, etc.
To be fair for LF, he publicly acknowledged PSS right after she intentionally exposed the pictures. And he took kissing pictures with her in front of the eyes of his friend, introduced her to his friends (for example Joe Ma and Michael Tse), which mean he gave her acknowledgement.
And to be fair for Karena, they dated few months before he publicly admitted the date. It can be called a period to understand and then come to public. PSS perhaps did not pass that period. Or the timing was not right for PSS.
However, it seems that PSS has not fully moved on. She sounds bitter sometimes. I always believe that she was deeply in love to do that revenge but not an act for fame.
Out of all, Karena seems to be less control than his ex(es). Hence she gives him the feeling of relax which helping to maintain their relationship. It lasts longer than people expected due to a reason.
Both long chin Raymond and Karena, just please get married and get out of the headlines. Every few days there are news about Karena went shopping, they hold hands, did this, did that, blah blah. Getting repetitive.

As for Mavis, I pity her too. I find her to be a better girlfriend than her. All she does is spend money and talk about her main job – gold digging lol rather than her movie work or modeling, etc.

1. Shopping
2. Partying with friends
3. Attend some functions from time to time BUT she has no news value except for his Raymond. The standards questions she will receive are: When will you get married? How is Raymond lately? It’s her mouth, if she doesn’t want to talk, she can certainly stay quiet. Many artistes stay quiet when asked about those questions, famous examples include Andy Lau and Leon Lai.
She may not have to silent herself entirely like them, but everytime she opens her mouth, it’s about him. This goes to show she has no news value except for him lol. If yes, the reporters will ask her other questions but they didn’t. They didn’t ask her any questions about her works and anything of that sort.
As for why raymond Wong keeps using her, it’s probably because he adores her. He’s not known for boosting any famous actress or actor and his movies are not well known lol… Neither are they box office successes.
Her acting definitely needs improvement. A high profiled relationship can get you gifts, money, and fame but nobody is willing to give an untalented actress a leading role. It’s too risky and she’s box office poison LMAO.
Even if you notice, raymond lam also gets most of his movie opportunities from Raymond Wong and unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to convert those leading roles into box office successes.
