“Overheard 3” Releases First Posters

Overheard <竊聽風雲> is one of Hong Kong and China’s most successful film franchises of all time. In 2014, director Alan Mak (麥兆輝) and Felix Chong (莊文強) will bring forth a third film – the retro-themed Overheard 3.
Though each film in the Overheard series featured different storylines and characters, the themes and main plot elements from the first film are retained in the sister installments. Sean Lau (劉青雲), Louis Koo (古天樂), and Daniel Wu (吳彥祖) star in all three films, portraying key figures implicated in a wiretapping investigation.
Overheard 3, which is slated for a release in early 2014, released its first set of character posters last week. The posters include portraits of “Hong Kong tyrants” Sean Lau, Alex Fong (方中信), Gordon Lam (林家棟), Dominic Lam (林嘉華), and Kenneth Tsang (曾江) as unscrupulous land developers working at the edge of the law. Ng Man Tat (吳孟達), who has not been in a Hong Kong film since 2003, is also featured in the “tyrant collection” poster.
Unlike its two predecessors, Overheard 3 will take place in the 1980s and will center around a group of businessmen using wiretapping methods to obtain information about the government’s undisclosed plans on Hong Kong’s real estate development. Zhou Xun (周迅), Huang Yi (黃奕), Michelle Ye (葉璇), and Zhang Jingchu (張靜初) are also featured in the film’s star-studded cast. Overheard 3 will also be Zhou Xun’s first film in Cantonese.

Ng Man Tat will be the best actor..no one in the movie beats him..
It’s great to see him back in movies again. Stephen Chow just isn’t as funny without him. That kind of says a lot imo.
He is very underrated and a great character actor.

I’ve not even watch the first ‘Overhead’ movie. Is it really so good? I better scout it out to watch.
I saw the first. Rather deep, I think about some share fixing or something. Quite good. Not sure about 2nd and 3rd. Same set of actors but different characters, quite confusing.
