Charmaine Sheh and Eliza Sam at Lancome Opening

Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) and Eliza Sam (岑麗香) were in Macau for a Lancome retail store opening. The popular ladies attracted a large crowd and the issue of whether Charmaine will return to TVB to film a drama became the center of focus.

With 20 episodes left in her filming contract with TVB, the public is curious as to which project Charmaine will become involved with to fulfill the contract. With the news that Dayo Wong (黃子華) will film another comedy with TVB, Charmaine openly expressed her wish to work with Dayo again. However, discussions are still underway for both artists.

Regarding the remark When Heaven Burns <天與地> costar Bowie Lam (林保怡) made a few days ago claiming TVB has no more artists and has to resort to using singers such as Ivana Wong (王菀之) to act in their series, Charmaine defended TVB, “They are two different matters. Ivana is not only a good singer, she is also a good actress and it’s no wonder she was invited to film. Anyway, this is not something new. Back then, I also acted in a drama with Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健).”

Not denying that Emperor Motion Pictures (EMP) had approached her regarding signing a management contract, Charmaine stressed that the quantity of her filming projects does not matter, but rather the quality of the works.

With Eliza Sam’s rising popularity and effervescent personality, she has become a new favorite among TVB producers. In Inbound Troubles <老表,你好嘢>, Eliza made a cameo appearance as a younger version of Monrole (Mimi Chu 朱咪咪). Not only does the director think Eliza look like Mimi, even the actresses think so. Eliza smiled, “Mimi came up to me and asked me which version of her I was?”

For some reason I think Eliza will be the next Bernice. Let’s hope TVB treats her better than Bernice.

*shrugs* beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wasn’t even talking about her looks. I was talking about the initial image Bernice had when she first started at TVB, friendly, healthy with a nice smile.

Me too! Bernice Liu and Eliza are both MCI, both from Canada, Bernice wasn’t good with Cantonese when she first started like Eliza, both became popular after their first debut drama as princess, both have a bubbly and nice personality. Gosh I miss Bernice… Tvb treated her so bad and she had no choice but to start over.

bowie “claiming TVB has no more artists and has to resort to using singers in their series”
i dont see this is a problem if the singer is multi talented why not? its just good for the development of an artist.

Eliza does look like a young Mimi Chu. Cool that they were mother and daughter in Divas in Distress as well.
