Ji Chang Wook Emerges out of COVID-19 Quarantine

The new delta variant and upsurge in COVID-19 cases have disrupted the South Korean entertainment industry in recent months. In July, Ji Chang Wook is one of several known celebrities who have tested positive for the virus and suspended all work to follow protocol of isolating for two weeks. On August 6, the 34-year-old actor announced through his management company that he has recovered and has emerged out of quarantine.

Prior to his diagnosis, Ji Chang Wook was filming for Netflix original series, The Sound of Magic. He was one of several people on set who had tested positive for the virus. Fortunately, his costars Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Youp tested negative.

As Ji Chang Wook is one of the main characters, filming for the series was temporarily suspended for 11 days while the actor was in quarantine. With a clean bill of health now, he has returned to work and filming has re-commenced.
