Ji Chang Wook’s “The Sound of Magic” to Air on May 6

Ji Chang Wook brings the unimaginable to life in Netflix’s upcoming The Sound of Magic. Airing on May 6, the 6-episode series also stars Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Yeop.

Adapted from popular webtoon Annarasumanara by author Ha II Kwon, The Sound of Magic tells a story following poor high schooler Yoon Ah Yi giving up her dreams to work multiple part-time jobs to support her younger sister. Despite performing well academically, her fellow classmate Na II Deung (Hwang In Yeop) keeps her on her toes by constantly challenging her.

One day, Ah Yi encounters strange magician Lee Eul at an abandoned amusement park. Like many others, she is entranced by his magic and is inspired to start pursuing her dreams.

A departure from his action and romantic roles, Chang Wook bewitches in his magician role with a child’s heart.  Butterflies, flowers, and parrots are seemingly at his beck and call, as everything comes alive at the snap of his fingers and he enthralls with the possibilities of magic.
