Leo Wu Plays Pool Prodigy in “Amidst a Snowstorm of Love”

Filming for 117 days in 11 different cities, Leo Wu Lei (吳磊) and Zhao Jinmai (趙今麥) have wrapped up their billiards-themed drama, Amidst a Snowstorm of Love <在暴雪時分>.

Growing up as a child actor, Leo, 23, successfully transitioned from boyish characters to more serious adult roles. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love depicts a love story between billiards genius Lin Yiyang (Leo Wu) and a young billiards player, Yin Guo (Zhao Jinmai). Falling for each other at first sight, they climb through their careers together.

Leo Wu – From Boy to Man

Leo’s recent romances have been well received, striking new fandom waves with Zhao Lusi (趙露思) after Love Like the Galaxy <星漢燦爛> last summer, and again sent hearts fluttering in older-woman, younger-man romance, Nothing But You <愛情而已> with co-star Zhou Yutong (周雨彤).

Viewers are also eager to see Leo’s new sparks with Zhao Jinmai, who is one year younger than he is. In behind-the-scene clips for Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, Leo was seen crying on Zhao Jinmai’s shoulders, earning a wave of sympathy from fans. Netizens praised the tender moment and  complimented Leo for crying not only with his eyes, but managing to turn his ears and entire face bright red. Soon enough, “Leo Wu crying on Zhao Jinmai’s shoulder” became a top trending search on Weibo.
