“Queen of Tears” Climbs to 14% in Ratings

Starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, Queen of Tears aired on March 9. After airing its sixth episode, the romantic comedy is continuing to top charts to 14 percent in viewership ratings and is on its way to becoming one of the most successful dramas this year. Available on Netflix, the drama is currently sitting as the top ten most streamed series in more than 40 countries for three consecutive weeks.

The chemistry between the two leads is keeping viewers anticipate their passion and rekindled love. Lawyer Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) comes from a modest family background with no status. He falls in love with Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), who is an heiress from a wealthy chaebol family. Married for three years, the couple suffers immense pressure due to their differing socioeconomic status and having to deal with Hong Hae In’s troublesome family.

The tension in their relationship comes to a breaking point until a turn of events, when the couple revisits their honeymoon location and reminisce sweet memories. Reminded of their love for one another, they finally bare their souls and recommit to one another with a passionate kiss.

However, Hong Hae In’s family finds a divorce agreement that Baek Hyun Woo previously wrote. This puts the couple at odds with one another yet again despite recent reaffirmations.
