Aaron Yan to Release New Album, “The Moment” on October 19

Youngest Fahrenheit (飛輪海) member, Aaron Yan (炎亞綸), will release his first full-length album and second overall music record, The Moment <紀念日>, on October 19. On Tuesday, Aaron attended an event organized by Taiwan’s Hito Radio Station to promote the upcoming album, and revealed that he hopes to settle down with a young wife by the time he turns 45 years old!

For the past few months, rumors of the 26-year-old having gone under the knife were running rampant. However, the singer slammed the plastic surgery speculations several times, confessing that he is very afraid of pain. Aaron himself admitted that his looks have indeed changed since his debut with Fahrenheit in 2005, but stressed that the change was because of the regular use of beauty products, a revised workout scheme, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

At the Hito Radio event, Aaron looked much skinnier than before. He explained that due to the mounted pressure of preparing for the album, he lost about 7 kg in the last two months, bumping down his weight to 61 kg.

Aaron expressed, “Thank you to everyone for making my last album such a success. Because of that, I’m going through more pressure this time. I’ve been having insomnia the past few weeks. My limbs would get really cold, my head would get really dizzy, and I would get back pains. Nowadays, I’m forcing myself to sleep before midnight.”

After breaking up with his girlfriend three years ago, Aaron has been single ever since. When the host asked Aaron about his current love life, he laughed, “Right now, I’m trying really hard to suppress my desires!” Aaron currently ranks work as his number one priority, but he hopes to be able to retire and marry by the time he turns 45 years old. Aaron joked, “I want to have kids, so my wife of the future must be at most 28 years old!”

The Moment”

With the theme of “Autumn Memories,” The Moment consists of  ten ballad tracks, in which each song tells of an important moment in Aaron’s life. The album’s first plug, Maybe You Still Love Me <可能妳還愛我>, is a cover of I Don’t Believe You by American recording artist, P!nk. The Chinese lyrics were written by Aaron himself. Aaron was hesitant when he performed the song for the time in front of a public audience. He later explained that he revealed a lot of his private life in the lyrics, and he did not feel very comfortable performing it at first.

Track 9 in the album, Actually <原來>, is the ending theme of Aaron’s idol drama, Alice in Wonder City <給愛麗絲的奇蹟>, which ended its 15-episode broadcast on September 9, 2012.

  1. Thanks for posting this piece of news on Aaron Jayne! I read about him wanting to marry at 45 to a 28 year old wife at another site and it caused a lot of commotion about his sexuality and all… I think many(including me) took it too seriously, but who knows what can happen in the future?? Wish him the best regardless and hope this album will be successful just like his EP was. He has the passion and talent to sing well… Good luck to Aaron!!
