Chilam Cheung and Anita Yuen Visit Pet Store to Please Morton
It was well known that Chilam Cheung (張智霖) and Anita Yuen (袁詠儀) wished to have a daughter. However, Anita revealed earlier that she had thyroid problems which affected her fertility. After completing his concert series, Chilam immediately returned by Anita’s side to take care of her health. Yesterday, Chilam and Anita were spotted visiting a puppy shop with their son, Morton (張慕童)in Causeway Bay.
Once a highly demanded film actress, Anita has morphed into a good mother. She once declared that if she had a son and daughter, that would be the greatest pleasure in life. With her advancing age, becoming pregnant appears to be a race against time. In order to prepare her body for another pregnancy, Anita has suspended all work to focus on conception. Unfortunately, Anita has been unable to become successfully pregnant yet.
With his recent smooth-sailing career, Chilam declared his love for Anita at his concert earlier. After his concert, Chilam spent time with Anita, who had fallen ill. Taking Morton out in Causeway Bay earlier, Chilam enjoyed his family day. Chilam lifted Morton from the car and closely followed by Anita, the trio entered the puppy store.
Morton Was Extremely Excited
After entering the puppy store, Morton grew extremely excited. He pointed at the puppies and made faces at them. Morton appeared to plead Anita to purchase a puppy for him. Noting that her son was still a young boy and due to her illness, Anita refused to purchase the puppy. After playing with the puppies further, Chilam, Anita, and Morton left the puppy store and headed back to their car. The family generously allowed the press to take photos before driving home.
Several days later, the press saw Chilam and Anita on the street again. Chilam walked quickly through the streets of Causeway Bay, perhaps on his way home to enjoy family time with Anita and Morton. Anita appeared in Central district. When she saw the reporter taking photos, she stuck out her tongue. Her expression resembled Morton’s expression!

I would expect Anita and Chilam to know better than to purchase a dog from a pet store. Way to go! Keep supporting those puppy mills.
Come on! Pet stores have legitimate dogs. Home grown can be puppy mills too!

Pet stores do NOT have legitimate dogs. To even say that is irresponsible and ignorant. I went into several pet stores when I was in HK and was appalled at the conditions the animals were in; cramped and dirty cages, kittens and puppies with visible sores on them. People who run these pet stores should be ashamed of themselves. Whenever I buy pet food, I never buy from stores that sell dogs or cats. Please spay and neuter your pets! It’s the responsible thing to do!

where else do you supposed to purchase those cute puppies? Dog pounds?
What’s wrong with dog pounds/adoption centers? Many of the animals there are euthanized if nobody adopts them. This should be a better option than supporting puppy mills that create puppies out of cruelty.
It’s weird how they always seem to censor the kids’ faces lol.
I’ve always wondered why they did that too. Anyone know?

most celebrities don’t want photos of their kids plastered in tabloids for privacy reasons, except Cecilia Cheung who doesn’t mind kids living more public life. The same publication have pixelated photos of Morton, but will publish full face of Lucas. I think it is based on the celebrities’ preferences and the publication takes that into account. It’s give-and-take on both sides, celebrities cooperate to allow photos, but they still want measure of privacy.
I always though it might be because of child pornography. Since there are sick people out there you know.

I doubt it’s for child pornography reasons. Some tabloids will publish street photos of normal citizens where they pixelate their eyes. Like many East Magazine splashy photos of men visiting prostitution sites who were arrested by the police, the magazine pixelates the male customers and prostitution photos. It’s mainly for privacy.
also because of the concern of their children being kidnapped…
But it’s not like we have not seen Morton at all or how he looks. He has been in the public a lot and I think he was also at Chilam’s concert as well. Therefore, I don’t see what the big deal is and why they have blur out his image in every photo. If he has never been in the public, I can understand that but he has.
Anita’s condition reminds me of one of my aunts… My aunt has a major thyroid problem and became infertile as a result of it. Maybe Anita’s isn’t as bad.. At least she already has one child…

As you noticed when you post a comment, after the first time in filling out name and e-mail, the same computer will remember those fields thanks to cookies.
If you comment from second computer (such as work or school lab), then you will have to fill out the name fields again. This likely happened to Funn and so her name appears in different forms. Since the same e-mail address was provided, it linked to same global avatar.
My apologies. I use the same email, thus the avatar but my computer just remember Funn minus the Lim hence the 2 names. I just noticed!!

I think it could be difficult to an Asian women to get pregnant at this stage(age) of life.Furthermore,Chilam and Anita only got Morton after 6 years marriage.Which they’re married on 2001,while Morton was born on 2006.
There are many options which I am sure they’re exploring. Can still do it naturally.
This article says Anita will suspend all work tand concentrate on having another baby, but I heard that she’ll be in a series with Kenix Kwok, Sunny Chan, and Damian Lau at the end of the year.
